Very convenient location for sightseeing in Windsor/Eton area. Comfortable bed, excellent shower. Only disappointment was no breakfast available.

We stayed at the George Inn for one night after visiting Windsor Castle. It was in the perfect location and I was guided too easy parking by the staff. They were very friendly and chatted it up a bit. Walked across the bridge for a fast dinner. Simple and easy!

Great location for Eton and Windsor - had a really comfortable sleep although the bathroom does need an update. Staff were really friendly but I arrived in the evening during a full house in the downstairs pub so was left waiting for awhile to check in. There is a public car park around 0.5 miles away.

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The gentleman who greeted us at reception was incredibly friendly and open. We came to the dining room to find a table reserved for us. It was a good thing too because it was busy. The room was fantastic with an amazing view of the castle. We enjoyed our dinner and had some great cask beers. We cannot wait to get back here.

Good but needs attention
The location was superb and I didnt think I would have the chance to stay in Windsor, comfy bed, decent shower, room not badly decorated, with nice compliments tray, however, it really does need a lot of attention on the cleaning, especially carpet and behind chairs but that were still obvious, though linens seemed clean, which was good.

An historic property that is well maintained. Not for the faint of heart as the circular staircase is cramped. I loved that they kept my bags until check-in, HOWEVER, no one is there to take the bags until approximately noon.

Great location in a historic, cosy pub
Very well positioned for visiting Eton, Windsor and beyond. Historic and well appointed pub. Can be a little noisy due to its position and possibly hot in Summer as opening windows a challenge but still a great place to stay.

The George Inn is a nice pub with rooms above all is clean and tidy the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is no breakfast but there is lovely cafes very close by and the George is only a 5 min walk from Windsor castle

The window would not stay open. A staff member helped me prop it open and cleaned the windowsill. A fan was provided but didn’t help much with the heat. There were a lot of cobwebs in the ceiling corner. Charming, convenient location however On a noisy street.

Great location. Mediocre everything else.
Fab location right by the river. The rooms are very dated. New mattresses are needed we stayed in Guardsmen and it was like sleeping on a broken sponge. The hot water tap on the sink needs fixing. The shower head needs replacing as it has enough limescale to carve a figure in. Cleaner does a good job in the room but the lack of window in the bathroom means it smells of mildew. The entry and exit needs improving as you leave via the pubs store room. The stair case needs a through revamp too. The receipt showed that they included breakfast but they’ve not served breakfast for over a year. Shower was powerful despite the build up of limescale/ mould.
