Living/dining room: With 24" Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, fridge and washing machine.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With bunk bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. . Parking permit for 1 car included; public car park 400 yards away; unloading at the door. No smoking.. Just a stones throw from the centre of Bowness, yet in a quiet back water location, Begbie Cottage is the perfect place to explore from. This warm and cosy, mid-terrace, traditional Lakeland cottage has all the amenities just a short stroll away, from the excellent restaurants, cafés and bars, to shopping and of course the Lake Windermere steamers. The cottage is ideal for that all year round short break getaway, or week long stays for couples and small families alike. You will enjoy the comfortable surroundings and pleasant décor of this wonderful cottage. Beach 18 miles. Shop and restaurant 120 yards, pub 50 yards.

Begbie cottage
We arrived prompt at the property at 5:00. The process to enter was fine and appreciated the parking permit. The cottage was very basic and in need of decorating and a better clean as there were lots of cobwebs around the fire and window ledges. The location was perfect for the town of Bowness on Windermere and fine for just a base for a weekend but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay for longer. Overall, an average property for the price we paid.

Great little cottage in central Bowness
Overall this was a great stay and very well located. The only downside was that most cooking utensils were greasy and dirty. (am sure the owners will rectify this having read this and he property is not centrally heated so in the cold weather electric heaters are difficult to regulate...ie takes a while to warm up when you get in and then gets cold quickly when you turn them off.
