Pros: Looks and cleanliness.
Cons: Our only disappointment was that the hotel did not offer free coffee in the lobby, a free continental breakfast, and had no refrigerators in the rooms
Location: We visited relatives mostly, but did take the granddaughters to the Children's Discovery Museum and the Children's Museum of Natural History.
We were their for five days visiting relatives and had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. My granddaughters especially liked the pool.

The DoubleTree Hotel was everything you would expect from a Hilton hotel. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and the staff very accommodating. However, the restaurant was a little disorganized and slow. Even though there were signs indicating made to order breakfasts, it would have been nice if the staff reminded you. Overall, the experience was a pleasant and comfortable one.

Pros: Location. If you need to stay in this part of Wilm it is need everything.
Cons: Decore, coffee maker, electric plugs, should have a safe
Location: every chain restaurant you know is need by. Also lots of basic shopping. Nothing unusual.
I called Expedia for this reservation instead of going on line because I needed a handicap room and a regular room near each other for 2 of my 3 night stay. Our first night our room was pretty good. Nice and large. The second night they had no record of the handicap room or the room location so we spend a lot of the day waiting for them to make up clean rooms. I asked for help to change rooms but if I hadn't asked it wouldn't have happened. both my rooms had unusable bathroom outlets, no safe, no small refrigerator. On day our room never got cleaned and we asked for a maid at 8pm. The coffee maker in ne room was broken. They did bring another. This hotel just wasn't up to Double Tree standards.

I have never been so uncomfortable!

Posted 03-Jun-2014
Cons: New beds and train housekeeping on how to stock a room.
Location: Close to restaurants and shopping. Easy to get to major road ways.
The beds are HORRIBLE. No support, broken down in middle, so uncomfortable that we could barely sleep. We had to ask for towels every single night, had to request toilet paper. There was no refrigerator or microwave in room. In my experience, this hotel was in no way up to DoubleTree standards. I will stay at Embassy Suites from now on.

Loudest hotel I ever stayed at.

Posted 19-May-2014
Pros: Front desk staff. Clean room. Generous hours for the pool.
Cons: Improve parking. Provide a smoking area somewhere other than just outside of the main entrance. Place non-event attending guests on upper floors.
Location: Numerous shops, malls, and restaurants very close. Not far from Route 95. Shopping mall next to hotel. Walking distance.
We stayed at this hotel one Saturday night. We arrived at 8:00 pm to find no parking in the front of the building. The rear did have parking, but didn't appear to be secure enough for me to feel comfortable parking with my two children. After waiting for parking, we entered the front door through a cloud of smoke due to the smokers outside who were from a function at the hotel. At the front desk we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies which was a wonderful, welcome surprise. There were three weddings already in progress and the music was very loud. We were given a third floor room. Unfortunately the third floor is not high enough above the reception rooms to avoid hearing a constant thumping from the loud music. Between the hours of 1:00 am to 3:00 am, we were woken intermittently by slamming room doors and voices in the hallway. I am assuming from the hotel guests who were attending the weddings. I should have guessed this might happen since we were required to sign a notice stating that we would not smoke in the building or make excessive noise. Outside of this, the hotel was clean and conveniently located. The pool area was well maintained, and had generous hours of operation. My children enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate in the restaurant the next morning.

Great for garden tours-Longwood/Winterthur/Chantic

Posted 04-May-2014
Cons: No in room refrigerator. When we went for ice the machine on our floor was broken. The walls are easy to hear thru.
Perfect location for visiting Longwood Garden, Winterthur and Chanticleer. Very friendly staff and very comfortable beds. The warm cookie on check in is delicious. Located close to many dining and shopping options.
