I wouldn't say dirty, but def older and run down ans i wasnt expecting that bc people raved reviews online of how great ut was for families. Prices were great, room wasnt dirty but old and im sorry but a room shoudlnt smell like a old musty basement and with my allergies it was very hard to breathe. I even went to the store to get some aur freshning prodcuts to help cut the smell while we were there

The room wus ok over all bathroom wus clean and seemed updated but by the kitchenette area there seemed to be an ant problem or whatever bug wus crawling around .also if u had to use the microwave u had to move it to open the door fully so it wont hit the freezer door. Pool needed to be vacuumed also .whole room should be bombed by an exterminator. Way over priced for 5 nights only thing good wus it wus close to everything.

Nice little place. The room was adequate. The staff was accommodating. The bed was a bit too soft for me, I'll ask for a firmer mattress next time. There could be more shelf space in the bathroom. All in all a nice stay for a few days.

This hotel was very dirty. Rooms were not vacuumed which is the bare minimum they could do, so I could only imagine how dirty the beds and sheets were. We ended up leaving and staying elsewhere.

Hi Dyan Thank you for your review . We are sorry that you decided to check out for the one day you booked. The manager was shown crumbs on the floor that the housekeeping missed. The manager offered to send the housekeeper to go over the room . The manager also showed you 2 other rooms that were extra tidy. You decided not to stay . I can reassure you that the beds are clean. We strive to do our absolute best to keep our guests satisfied .We are a family motel in business 23 years. Anyway we do you wish you enjoy the rest of the summer.

We arrived to find out that our reservation was not able to be found and there were no rooms available, but before we could even react, the manager/owner said she would see if they could find an alternative at another motel they owned. She was able to get us a room at the Brittany, 1 block away, for the same cost, even though they were also technically full, and usually would be at a much higher rate. This was all before we got off the phone, just before arrival, and we couldn't have been happier or had better service! And, if you looked closely out the back window, we actually had a view of the boardwalk & ocean. What could be better than that?

This was my second time staying at Skylark and it will be my go to place to stay. Mariam was nice, friendly and pleasant. It's located one black away from the boardwalk and there's a store/deli attached to it on the corner. it's a very convenient spot.

I enjoyed my stay for 2 nights. My grandparents stayed at this motel for years in the 80s and 90s. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was very well kept. My only complaint is that I didn't like the tile floor.

Decent place to rest. Clean and newly renovated. But, the walls seem to amplify the noise outside. You can hear everything coming from outside. People tend to stay out late until 1 am in the morning. Some of them just sit outside and yap nonstop for ours. That’s the only thing I didn’t like.

I'm very unhappy with this hotel. Wildwood lost power on Friday the day of our check in. As of Saturday at 3pm there was still no power and my daughter has asthma and a heart condition and this hotel would not give my money for us having to leave due to my daughters medical conditions. She could not breath. They didn't care and refused to give me my money back.
