"Boutique hotel near a streetcar stop. Clean room with full kitchen and den area. Extremely comfortable bed. The decor is funky but fun. Due to Portland being in the news so much, I googled “safe place to stay in Portland” and I felt safe here although they did warn us not to leave anything visible in our car. "

Daytime is safer. Temp housing in the rear of hotel attracts PEH to be around at night. Self Parking next to hotel is great. "

"Would stay again. Comfortable bed, nice shower, fresh coffee in the lobby, great value for the price on a Friday night. Underground hotel parking was extremely tight, narrow spots with cement pillars everywhere, my only minor complaint. "

"This is a hotel opened in 1924. The hotel is full of classic wordwork and charm. Although the building is old, the rooms have been updated and are very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast each morning. Great location in the middle of the downtown Astoria area, with many wonderful shops and restaurants within an easy walking distance. Easy two block to the trolley station for the trolley which runs along the waterfront on the Columbia River."
