Everything about the hotel was lovely - the room decor, comfort, position, service, food - my only complaint is there was a lot of noise early in the morning from the restaurant.

Amazing Boutique Hotel with wonderful staff
This place gets 10 stars from us. The room was our best yet, both restaurants were amazing, the staff was at our service for anything we needed. We made use of both restaurants, our balcony, the deck and the kayaks. We would definitely recommend the Lofts!!

Amazing boutique find
Stay was amazing. Actually extended for an extra night. The staff were courteous, welcoming, friendly and professional. The views from the deck were exceptional, especially at sunset. The rooms were clean, big, with an outside patio.

Highly Recommended
The ambience & feel of this hotel felt very comforting & pleasing. The staff is very helpful & amiable. We stayed in the lagoon room which had a very good view of the lagoon. The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast served was wonderful. Overall, highly recommended.

Luxurious Lofts
The Lofts is excellent- very friendly and helpful staff (Carla at reception in particular), the room is extremely spacious and comfortable, a large patio with chaise longue and a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was superb quality. All in all a great place to stay.

Nice in Knysna
Great location. Easy and efficient helpful check in. The room was lovely with fantastic 'public' lounges and a great breakfast. The whole team who are there deserve mention as nothing was too much trouble. They were available whenever you needed help or not. Great attention to detail to make your stay a great experience. They even got our car washed within an hour of arrival as we had been ion some really long dusty gravel roads. A wonderful location overlooking the lagoon. Rooms are well appointed and everyone has time for you. Its the best hotel we have stayed at in Knysna

The position is amazing The room was spotless and very comfortable The breakfast voucher was very generous for Il de Pain but the in- house breakfast at the Loft was exceptional and if we return we will probably opt to have breakfast there every day And finally the staff are friendly !

Lofts Hotel Thesen Island Knysna
Relaxing stay in a quiet location, within walking distance to Knysna waterfront & restaurants. Staff very helpful & friendly the boutique gave a different feel to the hotel. Overall a good choice of location to plan exertions & sightseeing trips or just relax for a few days.

Absolute gem
The Lofts is a wonderful boutique hotel on Thesen Island in Knysna. We had no expectations when we arrived and were immediately made to feel welcome by Mzee and the team. The hotel is a fantastic conversion of an older property and it exudes class and character. Despite one day of absolutely atrocious weather we had a wonderful time over the three days of our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to other potential visitors.

beautiful boutique hotel
gorgeous hotel in converted boatshed on amazing location at Knysna. Hotel atrium lovely and welcoming had lovely coffee shop and boutiques and art galleries and the most amazing cafe- Il de Pain- must have breakfast here!! Outdoor decking area looking onto lagoon- some lovely restaurants within 5 min walk from hotel too. Loft room was perfect loved the old beams above bed and the balcony was huge with two great sunbeds. Wouuld highly recommend this lovely hotel in beautiful location.

Beautiful location
Hotel is attention to detail - floor warmers and heated towel racks. Breakfast was a choice at 4 hotels, and was outstanding. Centrally located on the island.

we loved staying at the loft hotel , we family of 4 stayed in the 2 bedroom loft suite with so much room . its a short strole over thd bridge to the main land Knynsa area but Thesen Island is a beautiful area

Honeymoon dream
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff were friendly. The room was amazing. They gave us a free spa voucher and champagne. The views were spectacular from the room. The air-con, under floor heating, and the heated towel racks were a huge plus since it was wintery and cold during our stay. The hotel has everything you ever need within walking distance. The breakfast vouchers were an amazing idea, we loved going to Café Mario at the waterfront, their food was excellent. Il de pain had the most amazing tarts. Over all, very impressed.

Hotel with an Interesting History
Received a very warm welcome although we were very early. Left luggage in the store room and spent the day out and about. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant the Bakery next door is to die for, especially breakfast. The hotel is very neat, tidy and very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights with them

Outstanding hospitality
We had two absolutely outstanding nights at this boutique hotel. The room was a full apartment in a really nice and comfortable style. The only thing you need to know is that there are some noise from the bar right below but even on a Saturday night everything was quiet at 10 pm. You can also smell lime at cocktail time and breakfast in the morning- but it was part of the charm. The location is breathtaking and the food was delicious. All staff was so friendly and helpful and their hospitality was enormous, and the made the atmosphere so including. We felt so welcome and special, and they went an extra mile to help us book a trip that was sold out - and with success. We worked defiantly recommend to go there and if we are going back to SA we will be back. Thanks 🙏

Super Location, netter Service, sehr gutes Essen. Das Hotel selber ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wurde in den öffentlichen Bereichen renoviert. Die Zimmer sind nach wie vor etwas älter, e. Vergilbte Klima, alte Möbel und Teppich.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und es ist sehr ruhug. Das gesamte Personal ist ausserordentlich freundlich und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Es wird alles getan, damit der Gast zufriedengestellt wird. Das Frühstück im Hotel in Büffetform ist sehr gut. Wir hatten von unserer Turmsuite einen tollen Blick über die Lagune.
