Drive approximately 28 miles (45 kilometres) east of Westende for a fascinating daytrip to the city of Bruges, the capital of West Flanders. Take romantic walks along the canals and be enchanted by the city’s medieval architecture.
Westende has mild summers with a refreshing breeze that comes off the sea. Winters are cold, but rarely freezing.
Reach the resort by flying into Ostend-Bruges International Airport and then drive southwest for about 15 minutes. Westende is a relaxing coastal destination, close to several other resorts as well as cities filled with fascinating historical sites.
