Perfect Getaway
We had a mid-week stay at the Country Cottage due to some work being done at our house. Shira was great to work with and was very accommodating, which we really appreciated. The cottage was lovely - it was comfortable and relaxing. It was surprisingly quiet even though it is located next to a busy highway. We would definitely stay here again and give it a high recommendation for family visiting the area.

Pleasant Experience
Country Cottage is nicely decorated, well stocked, and super clean. It made our visit to West Union a pleasant experience in October. We recommend visiting Northeast Iowa in late October to see beautiful fall foliage and staying at Country Cottage to make it an even better experience.

Accommodating
The hosts were lovely and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about them or the property. The piece is the are close to the road, but it is a plus too; because it is convenient. This way you can get on the road and to your adventures in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wished it could have been a bit out in the country more and not so close to the road. Very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. Comfortable, clean, and cozy.

Clean, cozy and inexpensive….inches away from a busy Highway! You get what you pay for. Bring your earplugs.

Thank you for your comments and opinions. If you read our description this property is located on the outskirts of town on a highway. It’s decorated with a country theme, thus the name. “Country Cottage”. Our other guests have reviewed our place to be peaceful and quiet. It would be nice to please everyone but that is not possible.

Property was exactly what we needed. The owners were super good to work with. We had a small issue with the door handle and the owners were wonderful to work with to get it remedied. We hope this property is available on our next trip to West Union.
