last minute weekend break

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: character individual rooms
Cons: a bit disorganised at breakfast, no-one appeared to have a designated job, resulted in some waiting around to be served.
Location: Close to Horsham and its facilities
Good hotel to relax in. Plenty of areas to sit and relax and enjoy the ambience

Really good value!

We stayed for one night in the Stable room, one of the hotel's traditional bedrooms and it was a beautiful room. The view was not of the South Downs but instead of the walled garden, but the interior was beautiful. The tablet ordering and web browsing device is a lovely touch, and free wifi and Bose audio system gives the tech guests their fix. The Pass was not open the night we stayed but we intentionally went to the hotel to visit Camellia. We had the tasting menu which was well worth the money, with very high quality food, locally sourced. The wine cellar is a fun experience and opportunity to have a taste of expensive wines you might not normally try. The hotel itself is elegance and history mixed with the new and high tech seemingly completely complementing one another. Excellent food, nice walks, a foodie-pub almost opposite as if you need to leave the hotel. Definitely worth a visit, we just wish we'd stayed longer to experience more!

Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff were extreme helpful and the restaurant (The Pass) was out of this world.

A beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: No improvements needed
Location: We didn't need to go outside the hotel grounds. The weather was lovely so we walked around the grounds.
We came for a one night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the time we arrived to the time we left everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the food amazing. Our room was wonderful. We couldn't fault the hotel at all.
