A beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: No improvements needed
Location: We didn't need to go outside the hotel grounds. The weather was lovely so we walked around the grounds.
We came for a one night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the time we arrived to the time we left everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the food amazing. Our room was wonderful. We couldn't fault the hotel at all.

Lovely hotel

Posted 07-Jan-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Could have benefited from a spa.
My husband and I had a wonderful New Years Eve. On arrival we were upgraded to a lovely large room with plenty of character and splendid views. New Years Eve dinner cooked by the wonderful Winner of celebrity Master chef Stephen, was exceptional.

It was our first night away with our new baby daughter and the staff were wonderful. They could not have been more helpful and they made our stay.

Excellent stay

Posted 10-Nov-2013
Pros: The comfort and ambience - most important things a large comfortable bed and good working bathroom. Food also very good.
Cons: I find this question difficult to answer - I didn't find fault at all.
Location: Location is great near to the lovely town of Horsham with some good restaurants - especially Cote - an excellent restaurant. Also near the coast.
Wonderful hotel couldn't fault a thing, facilities first class and staff were always obliging and friendly. If you need a peaceful weekend to recharge your batteries this is the place. Rooms and bed extremely comfortable totally relaxing from the moment we walked in. Service from everyone was greatly appreciated nothing was too much trouble.

A wonderful experience !

A spontaneous romantic weekend booked at the last minute not too far from home! It was easy to get to ample parking and "What" a place fantastic grounds the surrounding areas were lovely we stopped for a spot f lunch in the Cabtree a beautiful pub with comfortable sofas and a lovely garden. Staff were attentive and amicable highly recommended and it's within walking distance from the "South Lodge Hotel". Now the hotel I would recommend to everybody the service was of a 5 star hotel the food in the I house restaurant was fantastic couldn't fault it at all! The room was large enough we were given one that over looked the garden with a smashing bathroom and very quaint ! The only downside was we found hair on the shower wall however this didn't interfere with the ambiance it was quality time spent and will definitely go there again for another romantic night ! Thank you!

Very Nice

We took advantage of a half price double room for our Anniversary. The hotel then upgraded us to a better room for free and it was lovely. Walk in shower very comfortable bed and breakfast in the room was a must (£3 fee). Dined in the Hotel Restaurant (The Camilia) the food was very good but there wasn't too much of it. Cheapest bottle of wine was £38 so just be aware! Since we have stayed in a 4* hotel before we knew to bring our own wine to the room! The Restaurant prices are actually a little cheaper to hotel guests so bear this in mind when ordering. Very nice - not too pretentious either which was a nice touch. Definitely recommended for a nice evening away. Bear in mind you can also bring a dog but i'm not sure what those rooms are like but they are on the bottom floor.

probably one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at, the service was impeccable and the rooms great - do not miss the Pass restaurant either. the only thing missing is a spa and swimming pool.
