“Nice for the price”

The hotel is nice for the price and the location is close to downtown Memphis. I did have problems with my key swipe to my room and the ice machine was not working on my floor but other than that it was fine. This was my second stay at the hotel.

“HORRIBLY NASTY Hotel”

We had blood on our coffee pot & hair dryer, mold on shower curtain & shower, spider webs EVERYWHERE, 2 phones (1 next to the toilet) that didn't work, ripped wall paper, & a NONsmoking room the smelled of a MOLD & ASH TRAY!!!! We bought shoes to shower in, our own water to brush our teeth & drink, & cleaning supplies just to stay the night. We told the front desk, and the Lady could have cared less. I think this Hotel (& I use that term losely) was more of a "pay by the hour" sort of place...NOT a stay the night. I've stayed at some cheap places but this was straight up trash!!! You couldn't PAY ME to go back there again. We called Days Inn to let them know.

“The Worst”

When we arrived the computers where down a we where told the couldn't check us in. We were billed in advance for the room but could get in it after driving 9 hours. we went to the resturant next door and sat until we could get in a room. The room was horrible there was a ring around the bath tub. The luggage rack was all rusty. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and cracking. The floor in the bathroom looked like it was not cleaned. Thank goodness we only used the room to sleep. I was really disappointed in the room it was a good price but I think I'll pay more next time to get a clean room.

“Can't wait to go back!”

The hotel was great, pool was clean and well maintained. The house keeping was very friendly and brought extras of whatever we needed. T.v. and fridge worked great. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were really lumpy. But didnt bother me to much. I didnt see any bugs at all the whole 3 nights we were there. I would stay there again for sure.

I like going to the dog track which is right across the parking lot. And Memphis is with in 10 mins from this location. Very fun!

“My worst hotel stay ever!”

Name it, and it was bad. Originally assigned a room that was being worked on. Refrigerator was broken and had a pool of yellow liquid in the bottom...and was stuffed with dirty towels. The sink leaked badly. TV remote did not work. Telephone did not work. None of the ice machines on either floor worked. No management was there all weekend, even though it was their busiest weekend of the year. When I was finally able to speak to a manager at checkout on Monday, all she had to say was "Why didn't you go somewhere else!" I was on vacation.....I did not want to spend my time shopping for another hotel, especially when most were booked! Not even an acknowledgment of our poor experience. Never again!!!!

Area recommendations
I was in town for the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis. It's much cheaper to stay in West Memphis. In the future I will probably stay at the Red Roof Inn or Howard Johnsons......same proximity to the festival and much cleaner and better run.

“Not impressed”

The room we got first had a powersurge and airconditioning went out and phone didn't work. when reported staff didn't want to give us another room but did so eventually. with alittle insistance on my part. Staff not very cooperative not very friendly.

Traveller's tip
Check room completely when first entering. Report any and all problems right away.

“Eh.”

It was good enough for the price. I felt fairly safe and comfortable even though I was by myself. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay, too.

“Disgusting”

Actually stayed there twice in a one week period. The first time was bad enough. There were spiders crawling all over the place. Had to have the daytime manager come and spray the room with insecticide. A/C was not adequate. The second time was horrible. The mattress on one bed was so delapidated, the wire springs were sticking out. The lamp next to the bed was not working because of a broken switch, there were holes in the wall, the cover on the A/C unit fell off when it was touched, the bed was not completley made up upon arrival, and during the evening when the outside temperature was over 100 degrees, the ice machine stopped giving ice. Need I say more.

Traveller's tip
Forget it.

“More Disappointed The Longer We Stayed!”

At first the people seemed nice and accomaditing when we checked in. When we got to our room my wife noticed the bathroom floor was wet. Upon flushing, the toilet overflowed. When we notified the front desk, they sent the night security person with a plunger and towels for us to plunge and to wipe up the floor ourselves. NO MAINTANCE PERSON. Complained about person driving slowly around in the parking lot, parking next to our bike and when I came outside they drove out. The front desk said that they would notify the hotel security. I watched, the security guy didn't show up but the car still drove through the parking lot several times. I didn't get much sleep that night checking on my bike even though it had an alarm on it with a remote. Will not stay there again.
