I booked a room at this B&B thru Expedia for May 24,2023. On the morning of. May 24th (on route to the b&b, I received a phone call from the b&b not to come as the owner was hospitalized and there was nobody there to manage it. So, of course I made reservations at another place. Meanwhile, I cannot get thru the the b&b after several phone calls and emails.I immediately contacted Expedia and after they attempted to contact the b&b without success, Expedia informed me that they will not refund me. I am disgusted!

We booked this stay several days in advance of our arrival. Upon arrival, there was a note on the door saying they were closed due to a medical emergency. No one had reached out via email or phone to give us a heads up. I was sorry to hear about the emergency and do still wish everyone good health. With that said, it is now a week out and I've been calling regularly and getting no replies. I'm hoping everything is alright and also wondering what kind of plan is in place for a refund.

The property was more than adequate for ambiance. Old home, 3 story, 3 sided veranda, attractive planting, clean. I was not aware that the owners would not be on the property or available. Calling the B&B always resulted in requirement to e-mail. I had several questions, but none of my e-mails were returned. All was left to a rather shy employee who did his best, but perhaps had too much on his plate. (I didn't realize he wasn't one of the owners until the very end of our stay). Be aware 3 of the rooms available are on the 3rd floor. It was a hike up and down. The claw foot tub was wonderful for soaking but challenging for showering. Nice breakfast served at 9am-fixed menu -creative. Small portions suitable to a lady. Do not think it would satisfy a hungry large male. No TV in our room, but the living room had a nice TV w/cable. WiFi worked well and we could watch programs on our computers. I would give it a 'B' - nice, but be informed.

2 issues; First the room had an extremely musty odor. Second I called and left a voicemail requesting a gluten-free breakfast because my wife has Celiac. I never received a reply and the proprietor never mentioned the call and did not offer an early breakfast as we needed to leave early. We personally were dissatisfied with the service and worse, the stale, musty odor in the room we stayed in. We could not recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Too bad we can’t be refunded.

Unfortunately, when we walked through the door, the smell was so bad. It’s a very old house and you can smell the stale air. The innkeeper was very kind, but did not understand my food preferences. The bed was very comfortable.

Accommodated short stays. Lovely, old antique home. Close to a very vibrant and fun town as well as toursit attractions. Rooms were nicely appointed. Had difficulty getting someone to answer phone and not all calls returned. May have been busy with an event that weekend, but that is not good customer service. Breakfast was just good. Would stay again though. Priced appropriately

We're sorry you had a poor experience at our inn. The house is an 1860s mansion so there are many antiques and rooms are made as modern as possible to suit guests' needs. Not sure what you had for breakfast but we always offer an entree and meat and fruits on the side. We would have been happy to accommodate your requests.

This was a beautiful bed and breakfast. The staff was very welcoming and the location was good for what we were in town for. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and spacious. The only issue was the TV was broken but they explained that to us at check in and it did not impact our overall nice experience at this inn.

A unique, quiet, and quaint getaway, with kind hosts and a field full of fireflies. Absolutely lovely. The breakfast and coffee were also delicious. I highly recommend it!

This was our second stay at Faunbrook. We love coming here. Staff is friendly and very accommodation. Our breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed in May’s room. Smaller than Darlington but cozy. Only amenity I would add is maybe a device to plug in cords for cell phone charging and a shelf in the bathroom. We will definitely return.

Our stay was very pleasant, friendly greeting, the room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and socially distanced. Convenient location to downtown West Chester and our destination Longwood Gardens. Definitely would return.

Owners were welcoming and knowledgeable. This grand old mansion delivers on quaint and old charm. The breakfast was amazing. Convenient to WCU (visiting son) and so many historic sites. Can’t wait to come back and do a fall winery trip!

Host/owner is very friendly and accommodating. She explained the history of the house. Homemade breakfast is so good and service as well. Very quiet area and vintage house with character. Bathroom in the 3rd floor needs update, better shower rather than bathtub I guess, esp for older people. All in all excellent bed and breakfast.
