“great place”
Clean, helpful staff good location for walking to white house or the mall and all the museums, restos and bars. Good buffet breakfast to go right through lunch all the way to supper
“Great Location and Service Needs Updating”
The hotel needs some updating but the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Service and location are perfect.
“Good location”
Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Being in the heart of GWU there is lots of activity and places to eat. Not far from the metro, 8-10 minute walk. The parking situation should be addressed. $38 (($34 + $4) tax is ridiculas for overnight valet parking. It also should be made clear that you can park yourself with out the added $4 valet fee since the garage is next to the Hotel. That is not true with other hotels in DC. There it makes sense not to have to trek back to the hotel from who knows where.
“Nice hotel at D. C.”
nice hotel, good location, reasonable price (when it is reduced from its full price)
“Great Location in DC”
Great location.Friendly and helpful staff. Will stay there next time in DC.
“Awesome service!”
We had a fantastic stay with great service! They chilled our drinkables while we toured the city then had a frig in our room before we were off the elevator. I would definitely stay there again.
“Good business hotel”
I stayed at the Washington Marriott on a business trip. It was what you would expect of a business hotel - prompt attention at the front desk, a knowledgeable and thorough concierge (I overheard his conversation regarding tours with another guest), a comfortable, relatively quiet, room, etc. It's not luxurious but is perfectly appropriate for the price and location. I'd recommend it for business trips.
“Not bad”
Clean, in good repair, and nice pool. Kids liked it. Room was smaller than expected and the room service food wasn't great.
“Perfect place away from the crowd!”
We shuttled from the (BWI)airport to the hotel. It seem like a long drive due to the traffic in DC. We liked that we were 10 minute walk from the Metro/Subway station. I slept so well and the beds were a little better than standard bedding. One thing I wish they had was free Wifi in the rooms. They offer it in the lobby but I still needed something to make it work. Another bonus feature was a computer by front desk to print out boarding passes.
“a fine choice”
staff was accomadating and professional. break buffet was diverse and the rooms were clean.
