“Excellent and personalized”
Well located, front desk people very kind
“fine location; fine service; delightful ambience”
this hotel is superbly located for proximity to the Capitol, and sightseeing on the National Mall, with all of the Museums available at close range. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome; the complimentary wine hour sets out a warm and sociable means of connecting with other travellers in the hotel, or, allows one to chill out with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. We highly recommend the George for a Washington trip-either one's first, or repeats.
“Capital stop over”
Easy walk to Capital and all the sites. Over night parking cost $47 which is steep even for a major town especially on a weekend. Cute hotel.
“Expecting More”
Room was clean however on the first day they forgot to send housekeeping to our room. The surrounding area was going through construction so everyday I would wake up to the sounds of drilling concrete. Location was great, it was only a 5 min walk to the Metro. Very convenient. You can see Capitol Hill from the street near the hotel entrance. I would still recommend the hotel because it was convenient to the Metro and the room was clean but overall I felt that it came up short from my other hotel experiences.
“Great "Unpublished Rate"”
A great hotel with friendly staff and nice interior. Conveniently located within 1.4 miles of the Convention Center (15 min walk).
“Nice little hotel.”
It is an older hotel so its kinda small. But its really cute! There is a 30 parking fee. And they charge for anything extra. I love this littles hotel but, I will be looking for hotels with free parking and internet next time. I would perfer to stay at a four star hotel. But my bill doubled after the 40 dollar breakfast, seven dollar beer at the bar. garage fee etc. Of course they offer every spa treatment availble. Those things I love but didnt do 100 pedicure. So great little 4 star hotel. just hard to be on a budget and go there.
“Hotel with good location”
This is a hotel with a very convenient location. We were disappointed with several aspects: our room was not cleaned until late in the day, one of the light bulbs in the bathroom was not working, it was difficult to regulate the room temperature, our wake up call was one hour late, although advertised, there was not a person at the car valet service.
“Wonderful!”
Convenient to the Hill and Union Station as well as downtown. This is a fun, classy, comfortable hotel. Slept well, excellent room service and amenities. Will definitely plan to return.
“Wonderful Hotel”
Large, beautifully decorated rooms. Certainly not your typical hotel. Included all the little extra's that you look for. BTW, Staff was uber efficient with cabs, directions. I was on a business trip and look forward to when I can return to enjoy!
“Clean but....”
The hotel is very clean but the location of the hotel is a distance from all the main attractions of the DC area. Once reservation was made with Expedia it was not refundable nor could you get an upgrade but once I checked in and they seen what price I paid thru Expedia they moved the room I originally should have had and put us in an extremly small room. The room was very uncomfortable the bathroom was very small and every time you showered the water was all over the floor. Very annoying!! Even the comforter on the bed was extremly annoying. It was a down comforter that they had 1 top sheet on top and 1 on the bottom and then tucked into the bed. So once you removed it from the tucked position the sheets were all over the place. Overall the hotel is very clean but all the other issues would keep me from going back!
