Magnificent looking hotel, set in picturesque grounds. My only complaint was there were no sockets to where the kettle and coffee machine had been set up. This meant moving them across the room to stand on top of the mini fridge where a multipoint socket extension had been set up. This is fairly dangerous as the socket and the appliances are all on top of the mini fridge.

We have stayed before which we thoroughly enjoyed. This visit we found the hotel's standards were higher the premises seemed a lot fresher as if it had been redecorated.

Beautiful setting but had to queue to check in and the queue was all people complaining. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, especially to two elderly guests. Hair in our bath too. Difficult to park.

Had a wonderful stay at bosworth hall , booked for a nice quite romantic night away and there was a coach travel holiday party there so was very busy. Should of been made aware of this as would of booked another weekend as was to busy for us didn’t like having to que for food felt like all inclusive holiday. The hotel was very beautiful our suite was amazing definitely Would stay again .

Firstly, it was cheap so you shouldn't expect the Ritz and it looks nice from the outside. Inside it's all a bit Fawlty Towers. Big queue at check in but they made us wait 90 seconds as it wasnt quite 4pm!. 3 people behind check-in but as the clock ticked over to 4, 2 of them disappeared to the back office meaning a 20 minute wait to get my key card. The room was fine but no wifi unless you pay and no phone reception in my room. The only plugpoint was miles from the desk, so to do any work, I had to sit on the floor so the laptop could be plugged in. I was told despite it saying it had a pool, I had to pay extra to use it. Finally, I checked the bed (I work in the pest industry and so always check for things that shouldnt be there!). It was pest free, but the mattress was date stamped as being installed in 2010....maybe time to retire this workhorse! Really noisy (which I dont blame the hotel for as its an old building) but if you want a quiet night, you will hear every creak of floorboard from rooms above and next door. On checkout, a final grunt from the receptionist as I said goodbye to hand my key in, but she didnt take her eyes off the computer screen.

hotel wasnt fine and i wouldn't go back. They put us right next to a generator that went off every 20 minutes so didn't get much sleep, then went to spa in morning and they advised us the pipes had broke so the water was freezing and the jacuzzi had been switched off. Only positive was it was a nice location to walk round

The hotel desperately in need of the renovation and updating of the rooms. Moved rooms 3 times within days, faulty radiators, poor water pressure, cracks and dents on the side of the bath, faulty sliding wardrobe door, stains on the bathroom floor! The list goes on!

The breakfast and other kitchen food was fantastic. The main building is run down and in need of some desperate TLC and maintenance and the hotel rooms also, moved a few times in a few days cause of various faults. Even then was finding problems. Checked out a day earlier , even though I had paid for the night, loosing that payment. Was not asked why or asked how my stay was. Would not stay again.

Nice staying somewhere a bit "plusher" than usual (we tend to find a room based on price!). Car park/finding Reception was a bit chaotic, but a lovely welcome from the staff at Reception when we arrived. Slightly puzzled that reception couldn't comment on what arrangements for food there might be at the bar (they could only tell me they'd sold out of restaurant tickets!). Swimming pool was great, but charged as an extra. Overall really pleased, and would certainly visit again.

When I phoned the hotel to book I was quoted £300 so I was delighted when I found it on Expedia for £109 and thought we had a bargain. Was expecting a high end hotel but it certainly wasn't that. Customer service definitely lacking; room keys were given without any hints as to where we might find the room in the labyrinthine hotel, and when we asked about breakfast times and spa we were simply told to read the information sheet so after checking in we had to spend a while readinga couple of sheets to find things out. We had to change rooms twice due to faulty heater, lugging our own cases around the long corridors and back to reception, we ended up in twin beds on my birthday! Rooms v bland, bathrooms shabby and old-fashioned. Couldn't see any reason for the higher price or the 'superior/executive' room we'd paid more for. Meals were buffet and evening food a bizarre unlabelled mish-mash. The hotel was absolutely beautiful building with stunning scenery and lovely seating areas outside and indoors, but everywhere was quite chilly and between that and the uncomfortable bed I slept badly. However, I enjoyed a swim in the good-sized pool and had a lovely massage - spa staff seemed more knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel was packed with older people and we discovered rooms were going for around £50, no idea where the original price of £300 was plucked from but we'd have been gutted had we spent that much. Would visit again for the lower price as forewarned is forearmed.

We went for a relaxing break with a rare evening away from our children. The room was pleasant with a nice view of the lawn. The bed was very comfortable. The room came with a brand new coffee machine. On arrival we noticed a lot of dogs at the hotel, which whilst a little unusual, wasn’t of concern. At midnight a dog started barking and this carried on throughout the night until 4.30 am, the barking then continued from 7.30. Neither of us managed more than two hours sleep. I’m not sure if the purpose of a hotel if it’s impossible to sleep there. The next morning we took ourselves to the spa. The Jacuzzi and the steam room were out of action. No one mentioned this at the spa reception. It left just a pool and a small sauna. It’s a real shame. This hotel holds special memories for us as a couple and it’s in a lovely area, with good restaurants and pleasant walks. It completely ruined our plans and evening of relaxation.

The room was spacious. The view was okay. It was safe to walk around at night. But... There were dogs in the rooms either side so kept barking at eachother through the night - didn't get enough sleep. The shower water was cold at night, and cold again in the morning. At night, they'd had an issue with the boiler for the old part of the estate. Advised to wait 15-20mins for them to reboot the boiler. Water wasn't hot until midnight. In the morning, there may have been more people showering, but the water wasn't hot for an hour after the phone call to reception. Reception didn't answer phone as they're not allowed to answer when there are other guests at reception, even though we were calling as existing guests. Awful experience.

The heating in the room was not working. In fact the whole corridor had no heating. I was supplied with an oil filled electric radiator which took some of the chill off. However, the shabby en-suite bathroom remained freezing cold. Each morning I had to shower in a freezing cold bathroom. I reported it to reception every day of my stay but apart from the electric radiator, nothing more was done to remedy the situation. I was not the only unhappy guest to complain about the lack of heating. If you visit Bosworth Hall you can have free WiFi in the public area. However, if you pay for a room, you also have to pay extra for WiFi in your room at £35 for 5 days. Not a great way to treat paying customers. Bosworth Hall has the potential to be an excellent place to stay but sadly it is let down by faults and poor care of rooms and facilities.

I was here for 3 nights on a business trip generally the hotel was good except for a couple of issues, firstly the room had no heating and the nights of the stay were quite chilly i did report it at reception and all they did is write it down for the maintenance guys i guess but i was given no apologies for the lack of heating and that room remained cold throughout my stay i was also booked in for the following week but have since cancelled that booking and found another hotel. Finally the cost of wifi in the room was £7 and rather large for a 24hr period, maybe the heating was an additional charge too ?. JB

An amazing building and surrounding gardens and grounds. The room that I stayed in is basic, clean but dated. The noise carries from corridor to rooms but this isn’t a problem considering the cost. I paid £45 for a double room which was spacious enough for two. Breakfast was £10 in check in or £12 anything after if you then decided to opt for it. The breakfast was basic but adequate. I would stay here again.

I booked this place accidentally forgetting that I had been before. My lasting memory was Alison the lady on the desk, she’s incredible. I stay away a lot for work and she is by far one of the honest, friendly and genuine people I’ve ever been greeted by on arrival. She also looked like she was doing a superb job of juggling various jobs on the desk. I can whole heartedly say you are probably not paying this woman enough, she’s personable, professional and is doing your iffy, run down, bit crap of a hotel the world of good. I’d take the slightly crap room, bit dirty and tatty decor of the entire place for service like hers.

No hot water in spa - so that was closed - my main reason for booking… Worse though no hot water, tepid at best, in my room, the heating wasn’t working either. I slept in my clothes with an extra fleece on. The staff said they would bring a portable heater. Didn’t arrive. The staff I must say were generally nice, they just had too much to deal with in this crumbling hotel.

Have been coming to this Hotel for 26 years, yes it has seen better days, a little tired now however a progressive refurbishment is ongoing, love the communal open area seating and carpets, some new windows have been installed however on this visit we had one of the original rooms which certainly hadn't been touched, nevertheless it won't stop us visiting again and again

How my 50th bd exprience was spoilt at this hotel.
I stayed in the hotel with my husband once on a work trip. I liked it and recommended it to my friends for a weekend break. So we booked a weekend with my 3 friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. Unfortunately the experience we had was terrible. We were treated badly by the people at the health spa. They lucked us out and ignored our request to pick our room keys. The second room we were given was a single room converted to a twin room with no leg space.. Literally a room with bed. We complained but we were told there wasn't any room to offer for the night...they asked me to come back first thing in the morning I did and the people their were not aware of the situation. Cut the story short we got the room change at around 4pm. We were laughed at when we passed in the lobby.. 4 black women in head scarf... I know it is a rural place but this level of ignorance in 21st century?? Sad. The village is great with nice places to eat. Overall outside the hotel was good experience but inside the hotel was not. I won't take anyone there again. The staff aren't ready to receive people from a different cultural background. I told my friends alot about the hotel, the beautiful village, the spa service, the other facilities. But we couldn't do much at all as the staff were not hospitable ... Made everything sound difficult and impossible to achieve. Thank you to one staff member that was kind and did her job well..

I requested a disabled room but was told on arrival that they didnt have one. The closest thing was a bath with a low edge, but still a bath which was impossible for me to climb into or out of. The 1st room we were shown to was apparently a double executive room but was appalling & nothing like any of the pictures in your ads or on their website. We understand it's a Grade II listed building but the room was small, shabby & I listed 7 things that were totally unacceptable, inc no mirror in the room, just 2 holes in the wall where I assume the mirror should have been above some drawers substituting as a dressing table, I would need to have stood in the dimly lit bathroom to do my hair & make up but obviously there was no socket for the hair dryer or curling tongs; 2 guests for 2 nights yet we were allocated only 1 medium towel & 1 small hand towel but no bath towels; the closest socket for the kettle was on the other side of the room to where the tea/coffee facilites were located. The receptionist kindly relocated us to another room. This hotel in no way caters for people with disabilities. I had to negotiate stairs at the only entrance to the restaurant. The 2nd night we chose a bar meal rather than climb the stairs but had to sit with our meals balanced precariously on our laps. It all looks lovely from a distance but not so much close up. It's only savig grace was Kiera, the exceptionally caring receptionist on the evening shift & many of the other staff we interacted with.

Beautiful place to stay and lovely grounds, like being at a national trust place. Pool is nice too. Staff were lovely and helpful to find places nearby to go for dinner. Good location, short walk to high st. Took our dog and worked from reception

So what a majestic treat! But you HAVE to like being cold- which I don't. I had a 4 night stay and wanted to leave after day 1. They gave me 2 heaters for my room which helped A LOT! The Spa was GREAT!!! the facilities and the taff. The staff everywhere was great- just SEVERLY understaffed for the quantity of people. ie the bar. where I ate 1x a day. Food is ONLY buffet style and not reasonable priced. So the bar was my only choice as it was too cold for me to walk 11 minutes to town. The town is cute- went there my last day!

To start of with the receptionship was very helpful kind and welcoming the bedroom was clean however we booked a superior and it didnt seem like a superior room the 2 single beds with to single matresses and it was very uncomfortable dinner was nice but was very dissappointed in the breakfast
