Very nice facility.

Pros: The room was excellent. Came with complimentary (very good) coffee and (very good) pastry from downstairs cafe. Off-site close-by parking with access
Cons: It was fine.
Location: It is very close to Chinatown but it is a little bit of a distance to other attractions.

Quaint Hotel

Hotel is truly beautiful. Very well appointed rooms. Clean and well looked after. Beds were comfortable and bathroom well- stocked. Hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Location of the hotel was excellent- right downtown. Walking distance to all Victoria has to offer. Can't wait to stay again.

Small but very nice hotel

Posted 23-Jun-2015
Pros: The fact that it was centrally located and the staff was so nice.
Cons: No
Location: Everything was close. Chinatown, the harbor, shopping and many restaraunts.
We arrived and the staff was very helpful. Checked us right in. The rooms were very nice. It had a charming bar area. They offered us a complimentary cheese plate that we had in the bar with a glass of wine. ( we could have taken it to the room) This was a nice welcoming touch.

The staff was cordial and accommodating to our special needs. The restaurant, Veneto, was an unexpected pleasure. The menu was varied and the food flavorful. The bartenders provided a mixology education.

Nice, friendly, easy access to everywhere.

It was nice. Location was definitely "local" and not at all touristy. We were fine with that. Good coffee, eh pastries. Good food in the lounge.

Beautifully decorated rooms.

Pros: The coupons for breakfast coffee and pastry and evening cheese plate were a delightful surprise. The restaurant was excellent.
Location: Public transportation in Victoria is excellent. The bus stop for Butchart Gardens and the ferry to Vancouver are right across the street.
The outside of this building is quite plain, so we were particularly surprised at the interior. The rooms are modern and quite attractive. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Nice and Quiet

Posted 12-Jun-2015
Pros: See earlier comments.
Cons: See earlier comments.
Location: Good location. Enjoyed Victoria and it's people. Visited Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Sanctuary, Gov. House & Gardens, the Castle, Waterfront, etc.
Our stay was nice and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean and roomy. I would stay again but we do offer suggestions. 1) Occasionally clean under the bed 2) Loose the large frig and replace it with a smaller one… the existing frig makes little sense unless the room had a kitchenette… use the additional space for some storage 3) Add a personal safe 4) Add counter space in the bathroom by extending counter over the toilet tank 5) Add storage space under the bed by incorporating under-bed drawers 6) Improve the lighting The greatest improvement is the addition of storage. The room is great for an overnight stay but if one wanted to stay for several days (as we did) then removing clothing, etc. from a suitcase and placing in draws is more convenient and relaxing than constantly sorting through one’s suitcase. A complimentary self-serve breakfast would be nice. Having stated all this, the room was clean, quiet, and the bed comfortable; which are our basic needs. The green incentive is very smart. The people me met were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Thanks

Wonderful!

A very nice surprise, excellent in all areas. We had a inside room, away from the street, and extremely quiet. Wonderful staff.
