Well located, nicely renovated, good value

Posted 22-Oct-2014
The hotel is in a good central location for sight-seeing in Victoria. The hotel has been renovated and the room was lovely. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The free wifi worked well in our room. The staff were friendly and the hotel seemed to be very well organized. We were on the top (4th) floor so had a view of the city skyline (but I don't think rooms on lower levels would have much of a view). The hotel was good value for money given that it was so well located and very comfortable, and our rate even included breakfast.

A weekend in Victoria

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Nice central location, pretty quiet, easy walk to all the touristy stuff. We had a kitchenette (maybe they all are?) which was nice. Had breakfast at the restaurant, which was good. If you're a big breakfast person, they offered the buffet for $10, which was probably a good deal. The parking was free, wifi in our suite was lousy. I'd stay here again.

Hotel is quiet, clean, comfortable. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, downtown shopping, and many great restaurants.

It was a very good experience

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: Quiet surroundings, and close to most things you would like to see.
Cons: It is good the way it is.
Location: Location was close to most things of interest; inner harbor, parliament building, museum.
The hotel was very clean and well managed. The room staff were very efficient and friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent, however, some of the lunch snacks (dry ribs, and fried squid) were very salty. The dinner menu items were very good.

Average hotel with a great location

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable room
Cons: Do something with the terrible looking motel across the parking lot
Location: Being next to the Inner Harbour there is lots to do within walking distance
Hotel room was clean and comfortable but that was all. WIFI didn't work most of the time, air conditioner was very loud and didn't work very well and what they consider a lounge and restaurant was a huge disappointment.

Lovely short stay!

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: Location!
Cons: Better pillows , more fruits for breakfast, variety of menus so that those who stay longer have choices.
Location: Horse carriage rides are practically outside the hotel. BC Legislative council across the street ! BeaconHill Park a 20-30 minute leisurely walk away
My husband & I had a comfortable 2 nights at Embassy Inn, a well located moderate accomodation with excellent service esp from the restaurant staff. The room was very well kept but the pillows were a little lumpy. We didn't mind as we really enjoyed so many idyllic spots in Victoria and were exhausted ! It's minutes from Clipper Terminal and Fishermans wharf. We could even walk to Beacon Hill Park.. Breakfast was basic but if you have a longer stay, you could prepare your own as there's an adequate kitchenette in the room. There are plenty of eateries nearby.
