Wonderful location atop Cerro Concepcion
We took a chance and planned a spur-of-the-moment last minute vacation. Our choices were a well-known international hotel in Viña del Mar or Hotel Brighton in Valparaiso. We thought we ought to have a more authentic stay at Brighton. We bussed in from Santiago. We had the best room with four windows; two of them overlooked the ocean and the other two the hills and city. The hotel/room was clean and the staff very helpful. The terrazza cafe was in a spectacular location and very tranquil. We couldn't ask for anything better. We were able to walk to several museums and galleries/bazars. We walked down to the ocean front and the metro from Paseo Atkinson. We took the metro to Viña del Mar and used taxis to get around town. Everything was very easy.

An opportunity to stay in an impportant historical
This hotel is in an important elegant home from the period when Valparaiso was a prosperous city.The plumbing is outdated, but this is a wonderful experience. The staff is very helpfull and the restaurant quite good. If you havea sense of history and adventure,try it.

Top of the world
A very special place in a magical city. Room on the top floor with views in 3 directions was a once in a lifetime experience. Friendly staff, great breakfast, fantastic vantage point on Cerro Concepcion for walking, scenic vistas, mural-gazing, restaurants, shops, sunsets.

enjoyed our stay here, nice restaurant and great neighborhood for walking. Close to funicular and the room rate was reasonable

The only good thing was the view, The room was very uncomfortable, the hot water didn't work, we didn't have a place to put our things. We had a room in the second floor of the house, very narrow staircase. We will not recomend this hotel, I think is overpriced for what you get.

A landmark hotel - could use some improvement
This hotel is a landmark. Many people come to take pictures of the hotel. This character makes it a fun place to stay. This B&B would be exceptional if the hosts had a better atitude and some investment was made into the building. The water system needs improvement and we actually had to take a couple of cold showers as no hot water was available. The neighborhood is great with small shops and restaurants. It is a quick walk down to the train/bus to travel the area.

Great Experience in Valparaiso
Our stay in the Brighton Bed & Breakfast was one of the top experiences of a great trip. Everything was top shelf. The staff spoke great english, and they were very accomidating. The view from the hotelwas the greatest. We highly recommend this as the place to stay in Valparaiso, Chile.

Es un hotel muy pintorescos con infraestructura antigua pero bien mantenida. Excelente visita. Habitación y baño ordenado, bien equipado y limpio.

Brighton B&B Valparaiso
Rien d'un vrai B&B, donc décevant pour quelqu'un qui choisit la formule B&B pour avoir des contacts avec les gens (les propriétaires). L'un des responsables est accueillant et efficace, ainsi que la dame chargée du ménage; sinon le reste du personnel est particulièrement incompétent.

Nettes Hotel auf Hügel mit Blick auf´s Meer
Das sehr nette, kleine Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel mit sehr tollem Blick auf´s Meer und bietet eine tolle große Frühstücksterasse. Zudem gibt es ein kleines Restaurant im Hotel und das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und spricht zudem gut Englisch. Das Hotel liegt in einem netten Stadteil mit vielen buten Häusern, das für Touristen sehr sicher ist, was nicht für ganz Valparaiso gilt. Parken ist aufgrund des geringen Platzes eher kritisch. Dies gilt aber für ganz Valparaiso. Daher empfielt sich eine Anreise mit Bus bis zum Busterminal und danach ein Taxi zum Hotel. Zum Hafen sind es ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Weg geht allerdings über zahlreiche Stufen, was aber für Valparaiso typisch ist.
