"The property is described online as offering beautiful fjord view. We were very disappointed to find upon arrival that a cruise ship was docked right outside the hotel which completely obscured the fjord view from guest rooms and the hotel dining room. It departed around 8:00 pm, but we awoke at 7:30 the next morning to find another cruise ship had taken its place. Very unfortunate…"

"We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful fjord view. It was very handy for the local bus which stopped outside the hotel and a ferry which used the hotel pier. There was no information about the hotel or facilities in the room and it lacked signs to the facilities. We ate at out in the evenings as the buffet was expensive and had to be prebooked plus there was no detail about the choice of food at buffet. midweek this was still tricky as the only other place serving evening meals closed...

"Overall a good place to stay. Clean room, easy to find, free parking, great view from common areas & breakfast sunroom. The property is a little older but it's well kept. Some updates like a tv or a mini fridge in the room would have made our stay just a little more comfortable. Even just an ice machine accessible to guests would be great. The breakfast was good. Great cheeses, breads, jams and coffee options although the smoked salmon was a let down as it was much too thick."

"Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Vermieter wohnt gleich im Nebenhaus, ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei Problemen ist er sofort da um die Probleme zu lösen. Das Haus selber ist klein aber fein. Zum Haus geht ein Fussweg, welcher im Winter Schneebedekt und vereist war. Wir konnten nicht direkt bis an das Haus heran fahren. Die Lage selber ist sicherlich im Sommer sehr schön, im Winter wenig Schnee. Brennholz für den Ofen haben wir beim Vermieter geordert. Wir mussten nur anrufen und...

"I came to Ulvik/Villavik to see where my ancestors once lived and to walk where they once walked. The Handanger Fjord and all areas surrounding are amazing! Vallevik Fjordhytter, our cabin on the mountain was charming and peaceful and everything one could want! Paul was there for us if we ever needed anything or had any questions, very kind! I would love to return some day and if I do I hope to stay here again."

"Nice clean hotel in Voss. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Stayed for the buffet style dinner which had an ok selection of hot food (pork/lasagne/fish) plus vegetables and a salad bar, also puddings. Fish wasn’t great but everything else was fine. Sauna had a great view of the water. "
