Framed by hills and majestic umbrella pines, this area takes its name from the Roman 'Vallis Curans', meaning Valley of Healing. It's also known as a 'golf valley' and was the site of the first golf course in the Var. Impressed by the mild climate and beautiful setting, Lord Ashcomb created his English-style golf course at the end of the 19th century. A second course has now been built in Valescure. The nearest beaches are five kilometres away.
