I was amazed at the size of the room for the 3 of us and its wonderfully grand features like the marble fire place, 4 massive inward opening windows, huge golden overmantle mirror, window boxes, modern TV and a giant sized bed with pure white linen and a good sized single bed too. The breakfast was serve yourself but had sufficient choice and a good coffee machine. You could eat in the garden if you wished. The owners/staff were so helpful, charming and understood english. Why this hotel is only 2 star I do not know. It is in a great location within walking distance of the town centre, trams and the station. It was quiet at night. My only criticism was that the room got a bit too warm at night and being ground floor I didn't feel it would be safe sleeping with the windows open. It was wonderfully ' French'.
