"The person at desk didn’t seem to be too happy with his job, wasn’t very friendly. The bathroom in room was clean and beds. Carpet was filthy! Didn’t even want to take my shoes off. No screen on window. Curtain rod broke, Breakfast was ok, place was quiet just a really really old place!"

"Exceptional Hospitality and a Wonderful Stay! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin. We arrived incredibly late and knocked on the door around 11:30 PM, but the owner was incredibly patient and welcoming as he completed our check-in. He immediately asked about our breakfast preferences and timing. Even though we don't eat meat or eggs, he went above and beyond the next morning—even trying to Google "Hindu breakfast" options to accommodate us! While that's hard to find in Valdez, his effort and positive intentions meant the world to us. He provided great alternatives and served an excellent cup of coffee. Our room was on the first floor with a separate bath, and everything was perfectly clean, neat, and comfortable. The highlight of our morning was sitting down with him over coffee; we had a fantastic, lively conversation exchanging stories about our cultures and life experiences. It was such a genuine, warm interaction. Highly recommend this place for its top-notch hospitality!"

"LOVED my three night stay here! As a single woman, I felt safe and completely comfortable. There was every amenity available and even free pastry and cookies, in addition to oatmeal, snack bars, fruit, coffee, tea and a few other drinks and snacks. The view from the beautifully appointed studio was literally awe inspiring! The intimate deck/patio view mimicked the same snow capped mountain view as from the expansive windows of the studio. My hosts were communicative, responsive and respectfully friendly, allowing for my privacy, yet attentive to all my inquiry. Absolutely, a LOVELY experience!"

"We had a first floor room at the end. It was very warm in our room so we opened the window to get some cooler fresh air. Instead, we were getting people’s cigarette smoke directly into our room. They were all smoking at the end of the building. We had to ask one gentleman to please move away from our window and smoke somewhere else at 10:30pm."
