We had a terrible experience with the hotel and I would STRONGLY recommend not to visit this hotel. The reception was arrogant and was not a pleasant experience. The cave itself was okay but without air conditioner, I would definitely not recommend during summer season. It was very hot (even though the hotel said it is cool in the summer). I asked for a fan. The hotel said “if you think logically the fan won’t help much”. I was just amazed how rude it was by saying that and how arrogant it was to use the word “logical” in that context. The guest was asking for a help (we felt very hot) and the hotel said that… I would say, throughout my 10 years of traveling experience, this hotel’s service was by far the worst.

Dear Mr Jaeho,I am very sorry when I read your review. We tried to make our best for you but now I can see that you misunderstood something. When you wanted fan I showed you the room which has air conditioner and told that fan will not help so much , but you wanted fan and we gave fan to you. I am a medical doctor since 30 years at this area , this property is my retirement plan . At your check in I was there and you talked with me , I never can think to behave rude. my only aim was to say fan will not help so much. This hotel was awesome! We have three kids and without us asking they added extra beds to the living room for the kids. The kind bed was huge and fit my husband and I and our 3 yr old. The hotel is small but perfect. The suite however was huge. The bathroom and bath was perfect. The breakfast spread was unbelievable. Within 200 yards, one of the best restaurant called Prokopi is located. It’s fancy, but absolutely worth it (and currently quite affordable with US conversion). The owner will gladly help you book different rides and tours. It was a truly amazing experience. I would highly recommend this place. Everyone in this town is so welcoming, it’s really a pleasure to be there. Absolutely book it!!

It was just okay. They had a dog who would bark a lot when you tried to enter at night and that was scary. Plus it's not that walkable to eating places especially if you are with kids. Breakfast however was wonderful and fresh and they have us early breakfast as we had a flight. The owner is quite helpful however if you like going out and walking around then this place is a bit far from centre.

Thank you foryour review. 'Tarcın' our dog is a very clever small dog ( border collie) and she doesn't used to bark, but ıf she scared you , sorry for that. City center is only 800 meters to the hotel and at 3-4 minutes walkable distance there are more than 3 restaurants. I couldn't understand why you think that city center is far. 800 meters :) Thank you for your thoughts about our breakfast. We are trying to do our best. Regards Uluc

Certainly would recommend to anybody visiting Urgu
Staff was very welcoming, dealt with our needs straight away. Overall cleanliness was good, we travelled by car therefore we had no issues reaching anywhere but it’s certainly in good reach of city centre by 5-10mins walk. Good quite location, with a brilliant dog named Tarcin which my 2 year old daughter loved to bits

IT WAS A GREAT HOTEL WITH LIMITED NO. OF ROOMS AND STAFF, MR. FETHIYA IS THE ONLY ASSET TOTHE HOTEL, HE WAS SO NICE AND HUMBLE LTHOUGH HE COULD SPEAK VERY LITTLE ENGLISH BUT IN HOSPITALITY HE WAS JUST TOOOOO GOOD. WE HAD A VERY LATE CHEK-IN AND AN EARLY CHECK OUT HE REALLY MADE OUR STAY COMFORTABLE EVEN HE ARRANGED THE BREAKFAST EARLY FOR US INSPITE OF BREAKFAST TIME BEING AT 8:00AM HE MADE A NICE BREAKFAST FOR US EVEN THOUGH HE WAS FASTING AS IT WAS RAMZAN TIME. ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT THEY KEPT ONLY -1- BOTTLE OF WATER, WE HAD 2 ROOMS BOOKED AND THEY SAID TO USE MINIBAR FOR EXTRA AND WHEN I SPOKE TO THE OWNER HE IMMEDIATELY ARRANGED FOR ADDITIONAL WATER IN EACH ROOM BUT WE HAD TO ASK FOR IT. THEY COULD HAVE SIMPLY PUT -2- BOTTLES IN EACH ROOM. THE ROOMS WERE NICE AND PROPER CAVE ROOMS THEY HAVE LIMITED STAFF IN THE HOTEL BUT ARE EXCELLENT, ROOM SERVICE WAS ALSO NICE, BED/PILLOW WERE GOOD ONLY THING WAS TOWEL HAD HOLES IN IT. REST ALL WAS TOO GOOD. IT IS NOT IN GEROME BUT APPX 10 KM AWAY, BUT YOU CAN WALK IT TO THE CENTER BUT RETURN IS DIFFICULT AS IT IS IN SLOPES SO CLIMBING BACK YOU HAVE TO STRAIN YOURSELF. THEIR GOZLAME WAS JUST TOO GOOD FOR BREAKFAST WITH DIFF. TYPES OF CHEESE.. OVERALL ENJOYED MY STAY WITH FAMILY..

Good service quality. The manager - ALi - was very welcoming, and ensured we got good vegetarian food. Although only 2 rooms were occupied (considering the slack season), Ali ensured all staff was available for our comfort. However, don't 5 start hotel kind of comfort. The location is good, 10 mins walk from the Urgup market. There's a excellent restaurant 5 mins way - Ziggy - a nice place to have dinner.

Fantastic stay!!!!!!!
We booked this hotel site unseen, and were so glad we did. This was the coolest room we have ever stayed in! The staff was wonderful (Thank you Ali), the rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable. The walk to town was easy and there were wonderful restaurants just down the road. I would suggest this hotel to anyone, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!

Unique cave experience
Very helpful and friendly owner and staff at a lovingly restored cave residence. I would have appreciated a pool or some other comfort to enhance leisure time at the hotel.

A stafisfied hotel cave dweller!
We stayed two days. Our cave room was unique with excellent facilities. The buffet breakfast was good. Staff was polite and accommodating. Ali, the manager, was excellent in all aspects. Whatever our needs for activities be it a rental car or hot air balloon ride, he was able to arrange them quickly and efficiently. I would stay here again if I come back to this region and would highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel and very nice staff
The hotel rooms and facilities are very nice and comfortable and the view is beautiful. We stayed in a very romantic suite with a jacuzzi inside one of the rooms. The staff did everything they could to please us. I really recomend this place in the amazing Cappadocia.

Magical, Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Golden Cave Hotel! The hotel itself is unique and beautifully restored from the cave living quarters and stables it was 350 years ago. It is located within an easy walk (or 6 lire taxi ride) from the town, which had small shops, restaurants, and unrestored caves for exploring. We were personally attended to not only by Ali, the hotel manager, and the other staff, but by the owner of the hotel himself, chief of medicine at a nearby private hospital. Each morning started with a delectable Turkish breakfast, served out on the balcony area when the weather was warm enough. Ali, who spoke perfect English, then arranged for all of our transport and activities, including hot air ballooning, a Turkish evening with dinner and show, and a tour to the underground city and open-air museum with an incredibly knowledgeable, English speaking guide, so we never felt like we were left to fend for ourselves. Even our teenagers agreed that the Golden Cave Hotel stay was the most magical and perfect part of our incredible week in Turkey!

Great hotel with fantastic staff
I had a wonderful long weekend at this hotel. I cannot say enough about the great hotel staff and owner. They were very helpful and friendly and good at arranging tours and providing recommendations. The cave rooms were absolutely spectacularly finished and very comfortable. My only issue was there was a big group staying while I was there, who were very loud and woke me up at all hours of the morning and night. I would suggest that thicker doors and windows be installed on the front of the rooms to absorb the sound better. But that was my only complaint during my stay here. Really, could not speak more highly of the hotel and would definitely stay again.

An excellent hotel
Spent 4 really enjoyable nights there. The manager was really attentive and the staff were good at providing for our comfort. A short way out of town but the terrace view more than made up for that. Huseyin arranged for a days sightseeing trip and a dawn balloon flight both of which were excellent. He also suggested a drive for us which again was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Hotel acolhedor, com funcionários educados e solícitos! Fiz um checkout cedo e solicitei um café da manhã, que foi feito com bastante carinho pra mim e minha esposa levarmos no transfer. O quarto na caverna é muito legal, só achei o banheiro muito escuro. Café da manhã bem gostoso, típico da Turquia e com pães e queijos bastante saborosos!
