Country feel close to town
I used the BBQ pit. It is a highlight for me as it is not so common in Italy. The place is close to the city but has a country feel. Very quiet. I was able to have a great rest over the weekend.

Beautiful Italian villa, spacious accommodation with everything we needed, garden filled with honeysuckle and roses. So close to Turin but we really felt like we experienced the Piedmont countryside.

We absolutely loved our stay! This place is a hidden gem, and not far from Torino if you come by car. It was a very comfortable room (heater and A/C) and a tub and great space for our three children to spread out. Really great value for families!

Really nice rooms, in a great setting and a super host (Giuliano) the room was ready and instructions clear (I speak Italian and did so, but I think Giuliano's English is excellent). Giuliano is well traveled and has lots of stories to tell of his adventures, a really nice chap We were allowed to live the way we wanted, the cleaning staff knocked on the door daily to ask if we needed anything and took away the rubbish. The GPS in my car took me to the wrong place, but it was only the next road along. The single track drive is a little narrow, but manageable (we had a 5 series touring) and you get a remote control to open the gates when the reception is not manned. There is a small kitchen and we had two double beds, and a nice bathroom with a good supply of hot water. It was quiet when we went (late October) so we didn't sample the pool or other areas, but they all looked great.

Best stay and best hospitality!
Such a quaint gorgeous spot to rest our heads after a day of driving. The hospitality was top notch and the room was beautiful! Free Breakfast served to your door with a lovely array of fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurt and juices! Highly recommended from these Canadians!

Nice place near Turin
Decent place for a stopover on the long drive north from Rome. Quite basic but clean and functional apartment with a useful kitchenette and great service from the guy who checked me in. Recommended.

Beautiful property helps escape city's clamor
Lovely hotel; very comfortable; peaceful surroundings just outside the city's perimeter. Incredibly friendly and helpful property manager/caretaker, Giuliano. He made our stay a truly memorable experience. Le Serre is extraordinarily good value.

Lovely hotel in uninspiring town
We stayed for one night at Le Serre on our way from Liguria to Lake Como. The hotel itself is brilliant - lovely (very clean) rooms, friendly and helpful staff and breakfast served in your room. For one night as a stop off, this was a great choice. It is in pleasant private grounds and has a swimming pool. Moncalieri itself was quite uninspiring. The hotel owner was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, but there was not much within walking distance. The town is quite quiet and residential. If you wish to explore Turin itself, this hotel is within striking distance (1/2 hour drive or so), but staying within the city would be much easier. I would recommend this hotel for one or two nights, but had we been staying for longer I would have found the location disappointing.

Beautifully restored building .
We only stayed one night on the way to Tuscany but would happily stay here again. The accommodation was immaculately clean and comfortable. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked well looked after and inviting. The bed was very comfortable but we found the pillows a little too hard and deep. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and was brought to the room at the time requested.

We spent a couple of days here, great for a stopover, the service from the owner is great and the breakfast included was lovely and plenty to eat. Accomodation was the real Italian style and very comfortable.

I enjoyed the stay in this resort. the place is very nice in a quite location. Unfortunately the room was extremely humid. The bed liner felt almost wet even the with the deuficator on all the time. On the plus size, the man responsible is super nice and breakfast was much better then I have expected.

Wonderful suite hotel near Piedmont wine country.
Giuliano and his team welcome you with warm smiles and an oasis in the Torino suburb of Moncalieri. With a pleasant pool and a very generous continental breakfast, La Serre was just right for our family.

The owners were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was absolutely perfect - with a living room, a big bathroom and a very nice bedroom - surrounded by a beautiful garden and a fantastic swimming pool. Really amazing experience.

Pleasant surprise
As Americans living abroad, we have the advantage of driving to locations. We did not to stay in the city of Torino. This was an excellent location. It is just outside the business of the town. i was so thrilled that a wine tasting was arranged upon less than 24 hour request. That experience was amazing.

Wonderful little hotel just outside Turin
We just completed a whirlwind 8 day 7 night visit to Italy and this hotel was by FAR the best hotel we stayed at in our travels through the Italian countryside. The hotel was beautiful, clean, quiet and the staff/owner was extremely friendly and helpful. This is the first review I have ever left for a hotel, but we had such a good time and the hotel was so wonderful I thought it would be a crime not to leave a review. As I was standing in the hotel check in office, there was a sign stating that the hotel was in the top 100 hotels in Italy. I can say without a doubt the hotel definitely deserves to proudly display the sign. The hotel was off the main road quite a bit and was very quiet and secluded. Coupled with the small courtyard where the free breakfast composed of breads, meats and fruits along with coffee, milk and juice can be enjoyed and this hotel is a little slice of heaven. The room itself had a slightly rustic feel with the wooden shutters and log cabin feel, but it was definitely stocked with all the latest fixtures. It seems to be relatively new construction and is well taken care of. If you are looking for a hotel in the Turin area, you can stop looking. This is where you should stay.

Comfortable hotel for families
driving from Italy to switzerland, we decide to stay near Turin for our last stay. La serre is an excellent place if you are traveling with families. My 2 daughters (6 and 1) enjoyed the gardens. The room has a small kitchenette with everything you need in case you want to cook. Breakfast is brought to your room in the morning and it is wonderful.

The room (suite) was large, with good bathroom. Functional kitchenette. Staff were helpful in recommending restaurants. Our kids (4 and 7) loved running around in the garden. Very quiet at night. Overall a very positive expereince and if in the area I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Special Welcome at Le Serre
Giuliano is the perfect host. He gave us a warm welcome on arrival and arrived every morning with a huge breakfast tray. The apartments are safe and secure in a warm and friendly environment. You can get take away pizza delivered straight to your door :-) The room we were in had a stocked fridge, cooker and coffee machine. there are dressing gowns and slippers, perfect for relaxing. This place is a real gem... don't tell too many people! we will be going back in the New Year

We were arriving late and owner had thoughtfully called in advance to check our arrival time so we had no worries. Very nice apartment but not ideal for long stay with younger children as not much to do in the grounds etc. If you are going for city break, ideal as only 20mins from Turin and Moncalerei is a nice small town to explore.

I don't usually write reviews unless my experience was either particularly bad or particularly good. In this case, it was an excellent experience all around! From the very first night we were made to feel welcomed when we arrived quite late after 8 hours of driving (2 hours later than we had stated due to very bad unforeseen traffic). We were greeted very warmly by the owner who understood that we would be extremely tired and ready for bed upon our arrival and so he had our room all ready, helped us carry in our bags, and told us we would take care of the check-in requirements the following morning. We were so grateful for that! Each morning thereafter, we received a full tray of breakfast items that was included in our room price, delivered to our room at a time of our choosing. Though it was a continental breakfast, the espressos and warm rolls/croissants were perfect and there were lots of other options for our family of 4 (cereals, yogurt, ham and cheese, toast, fruit, etc.) TV had many choices and Wifi had very good connectivity. The suite was large and clean, and we made good use of the kitchenette. The property was secure and parking was readily available and free. And since we were exploring the area around Turin (Alba, Asti), the location was perfect, as we were close to the highway. Highly recommend Andrea's wonderful establishment!

Charming Hotel in Turin: A Few Hiccups
During our five-day stay at a captivating hotel in Turin, we encountered both positive and negative aspects. Regrettably, the most concerning issue was the lack of room cleaning on the last two days. This oversight left us disappointed, as we expected consistent housekeeping services for a comfortable stay. On a brighter note, the hotel's interior space was fascinating, thoughtfully arranged with unique decor, creating an inviting ambiance. The refreshing saltwater pool added to the experience, perfect for unwinding after exploring Turin's attractions. Our room was picturesque and beautiful, providing sufficient space for our family of four. The hotel's location, within a 20-minute drive from Turin's center, was convenient for sightseeing. However, there were some hiccups. Upon arrival, a minor check-in misunderstanding caused a delay, and on the second day, a pool party prevented us from enjoying the pool. The comfort of beds and sofas was subpar, impacting our sleep and relaxation. Moreover, the hotel's neighborhood, while not unsafe, had a visually neglected appearance with graffiti tags, which might not appeal to all guests. In conclusion, while the hotel's charm and positive aspects were enjoyable, the lack of room cleaning was disappointing. We recommend this hotel to those seeking a unique stay in Turin but hope the management addresses the housekeeping issue to improve guest experiences.

We would also like to point out, for the benefit of the reader, that our check-in starts at 2 pm, so if you arrive earlier and then have to wait a moment for the room to be handed over, this is quite normal. Just as it is normal that the tidying up of a room consists of tidying up the bed and dusting, but we cannot be the ones to tidy up the guests' personal belongings.
