I'd recommend this hotel unless you're looking for luxury. It's a modest hotel that looks as if it is in the process of making improvements (evidence of recent repairs in the corridors and some decorating needed there). It's near the train station and one of the main squares, and a short walk from the old town and the harbour - including restaurants, shops etc. I particularly liked that breakfast is available till noon, and that hotel guests can get coffee and orange juice free all day (from a machine, but still a nice touch). I had no noise disturbance, and the staff were pleasant and helpful (and spoke English, if that matters). My room was well-equipped (free WiFi, good wardrobe and shelf space, TV, phone, window shutters, separate toilet) and had a comfortable bed. The shower was in the bath (a separate shower is always better - baths are usually slippery to stand in) but this is a minor quibble. I'd stay there again if in Toulon. It met my requirements, but it won't meet everyone's.
