If I could leave 7* , I would . Beautiful property with an amazing staff! You gonna get a million $ view for sure. Lots of privacy, serenity, walking distance to local grocery shops , bakery and restaurants if you decide to change the menu ( even though they’ve got an incredible chef ) , and presentation is top notch . Hotel is easy to find; easy check in and a great staff. Parking is right by the hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant had not yet opened however they pointed us to a few decent ones down the breakwater. The room (with deck) was excellent, clean and bed very comfortable. Washroom fully equipped and a great shower. We had breakfast included and it was both tasty and filling. We would stay again for sure.

Our Montenegro stay.
Service at the hotel was great and staff were helpful and friendly. Bit the hotel is old and lacks lots of amenities. Something as small as facial tissue or hand lotion and as bog as a pool and hot tub was all lacking. Surprisingly the hotel charged the same as the five star hotel we stayed at in Croatia.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The people, the rooms (i had the double door balcony room) the ambiance, the cute little beach on the side of the hotel, and cant forget the cure and romantic restaurant right on the water. Honestly im going to.come back everytime im in montenegro.

Outstanding! Truly.
Just had the one night here, booked double deluxe room with sea view / terrace - it was worth it! The view from the room is outstanding, waking up to that was amazing. The breakfast was superb. The coffee amazing, the freshly squeezed orange juice on the terrace was perfect. And the colleagues are amazing, sorting us a taxi to Dubrovnik. Definitely worth staying here! I would happily live in this hotel.

The hotel itself is super cute and has incredible views! We are travellers that are morning risers and like to get a full day of walking/sightseeing and then we like to enjoy an evening dinner at the hotel and to sit and enjoy the patio/balcony to rest up for the next day. We booked this place because it was out of the busy city and because there was a restaurant attached. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was closing for lunch & dinners for the season the day after we arrived. The hotel never informed us in advance there would be no restaurant during our stay. I went down to front desk on our day of arrival and confirmed with them that the restaurant would be open for one last dinner that night. So we went down for dinner and they let us order drinks then when we tried to order they told us everything we tried to order wAs not available because they are closing tomorrow. There was nothing to order and now we had drinks that we would NOT have ordered as we had to leave and try to find somewhere else to eat close by (because of time of year and being out of the city was limited). They made sure they charged us 16 Euro for the 2 drinks as well. Also the bed in the room was so uncomfortably hard. On our 2nd last day we woke up to having no water and no apology or warning. When we asked they said it might be back on early this afternoon. We had no showers or toilet to use and no apology. We ended up forfeiting our last nights paid room to go elsewhere.

Dear guests, We are truly apologising for the experience you had in our hotel. The restaurant is closed during the winter months and we are informing the guests about that. On this site, we do not have the possibility to display that information. The situation with water was not the problem of the hotel, there was the maintenance of the water supply sector of the municipality of Tivat, the whole part of Tivat did not have water. That situation lasted for a short period of time. If you had stay in hotel we would have compensate this situation, no doubt. But we did not have time because you left. We booked this hotel just the day before we went as were elsewhere and we were not happy with the hotel we were in. Thankfully Carrubba had a room for us. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were made to feel welcome. It is very friendly, everyone has a smile on their face and go out of their way to make you have a wonderful time. I wished we could have stayed longer. Our room, on the top floor, was comfortable, nice big bed and a sofa plus fabulous views over the water. Very quiet, very pretty. We did not eat our evening meal there because there was a wedding ... we could have but we wanted to eat earlier than they could accommodate us so we went to their recommendation down the road and had a perfectly great evening. Breakfast was set up outside overlooking the bay and the choice of fare was good. Not the usual buffet but a more personal service, which was refreshing. And always service with a smile. Loved it !

A little gem in Montenegro!
Fantastic hotel surrounded by raw natural beauty and beautiful scenery. Attention to detail was very evident and the staff were so friendly and professional. The cleanliness was superb.

My husband & I enjoyed staying at the Eco Hotel Currubba very much. We loved the hotel, it was beautiful the view was amazing, the staff was wonderful. They helped us with everything we needed or even wanted. The food was terrific. We would go back & stay there without hesitation!

Quaint Hotel surrounded by sewage smell.
Eco Carruba is situated in a picturesque spot on a bay in Montenegro, however, the surrounding area is run down and rather down market therefore, it does not warrant the very high prices it charges. I booked a standard room which cost £170 per night. It was basic but satisfactory; clean, however, one morning my rubbish bin had not been emptied and the shampoo and conditioner was only replaced once in 4 days. Also the aircon was very noisy. The breakfasts were generous although, fresh bread is not included, instead it is replaced by readymade dried toast from a packet. There was only ever one member of waiting staff on duty who was responsible for serving the adjoining beach and the cafe/restaurant. We would wait an unexceptable amount of time to be served a drink during extremely hot temperatures. My friend questioned the waiter and his reply was that he was on his own- she paid over a £1000 to stay there and wanted service not excuses. The menu is limited and very overpriced. On one occasion I asked whether my 7 year old daughter could possibly have a cheese baguette as baguette was listed on the menu. I was told this was not possible. I explained The menu listed a cheese platter at €16 and a plain baguette at €3, therefore Surely it would be possible to meet my request for my small child... again, I was told it was not possible. I left it at that. One pasta, soup & 2 drinks =€45. This wasn't Porto Montenegro or Montecarlo. I would not stay at Eco Carruba again

Tivat MNE, the destination Carruba Hotel
I do recommend this hotel! Tivat is becoming a place to go, for summer vacation. Ecco Hotel Carruba, has a team of persons, who are ready day and night to help and give great suggestions! The property is literally over the water, ultra safe for swimming, nice little beach, rooms very comfortable!!!!! Montenegro is becoming a must...!!!! Tivat the place, Carruba is where to stay!!!

Best looking accomodations in the area
A great stay. The hotel is right on the water. It is hard to find but stop at a tourist bureau in Tivat and you will get good directions. I'm American and have never been to the Balkans before. I saw a couple of negative reviews and was nervous that the hotel might be sketchy. The opposite is true. It is a wonderfully historic place, lots of stone and tile, and the parts that you'd want to be modern were.

Ruhige Lage - schönes Hotel
Das Hotel selbst ist sehr ruhig gelegen und doch nicht weit weg (10 Min) zu quirligem Leben. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant direkt am Wasser gelegen, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Leider dauert es sehr lange, bis Getränke und Speisen kommen und geschmacklich ist es durchschnittlich. Das Frühstück gibt es leider nicht in Buffet-Form. Es stehen 5 Gerichte zur Auswahl, was langweilig wird, wenn man ein paar Tage länger dort verweilt. Ausserdem isst nicht jeder jedes Gericht oder kann es nicht essen, allergiebedingt. Hier wäre Buffett und das selber auswählen besser.

A beautiful and peaceful oasis - great service
We spent three nights here (prolonged due to pilot strike). The hotel was beautiful, everyone working there were very serviceminded and helpful. It was so relaxing arriving here at this very small hotel after first staying in busy Kotor and in busy Petrovac. Cleaning was good, and breakfast as well. There is a small area with sunbeds assigned for the hotels guest only, witch worked well. If I should mention small details that could have been perfected, it is that we really missed being offered a second cup of coffee for breakfast (no, we didn't ask, but it didn't seem to be an offer) and that there could be some better furniture at the terrace. It has a very beautiful view, so we loved to just sit there and look at the sea, but the chairs there are not very relaxing to sit on. But - as I said - these are small details in a an overall very good stay!
