Enjoyed stay
Overall, good 2 day stay at Residency Tower. We got free upgrade to Presidential suit which was really big and nice. Breakfast was wonderful

Worst 4 Star Hotel - This is average 3 star!!
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel will say more a 3 star. I have stayed in numerous hotels from 2 stars to 5 stars and this hotel does not deserve to be 4 star at all will recommend to have audited again to at least claim for 3 star only. Worst 4 star hotel but average 3 star. 1. Swimming pool was under maintenance but during booking was told that all OK but was like that for over 3 weeks plus making excuses on government covid restrictions when other hotels had available pool. 2. Lack of communication when I sent numerous messages but nothing replied however they promised me 10,000 Rupees compensation voucher to spend at hotel but they never stood by to their promise during checkout 3. The rooms smell like dampness with stained pillow cases and stained towels. 4. The housekeeping was never consistent on cleaning, replenishing items like water bottles, toiletries, changing towels, etc. 5. WiFi was very poor and we had to request the user & password but still was about 1 - 2 Mb/s. 5. Breakfast was very less items for continental however Indian food was very good and tasty plus the live station staff was excellent, hence why I gave 1 star otherwise this hotel only deserves 0 for claiming to be 4 star. If it claims to be 3 star I would have given 3 star.

As per your mail we did not get any messages from you before your arrival and regarding Rs.10000/- compensation voucher the hotel did not promised you any compensation and according to expedia hotel voucher we charged your room rent Rs.14470.40 only (3 days room rent) and if you need the voucher we will send you for your reference.During your stay you did not mention any thing about the Rs.10000/- compensation voucher till check out , now only you pointed out this matter and we ,the hotel is totally blank about the compensation voucher. While your 3 days stay you did not inform us any of the house keeping complaints and our wifi connectivity limited to 2 devises usage at a time (already informed while check In). Due to this pandemic our pool was closed and sorry for the non availability of pool usage.For the past 20 years our hotel enjoyed 4 star category status and many national & international guests are staying here and choosing 0 or 1 star category is your discretion alone.Thank you, Hotel Manager.

A very comfortable stay
Great location in the heart of Trivandrum..with easy access to almost everywhere in the city. The hotel itself was very good..we stayed for a longish 6 nights as we spent time with family and explored Trivandrum, Kovalam and Kanyakumari. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast spread was good too, and the staff picked up on our likes and dislikes on day 1, remembered them, and served us accordingly..which was commendable! Our room was nice.. comfortable and well-appointed. Only drawback - although drinking water was complimentary, for some reason, they would keep rationing it one litre a day. Even when we asked for more..which was a bit odd.

Comfortable and reasonable stay
Me and my partner stayed at The Residency for our last night in Kerala before catching a flight back to Mumbai/London. Things that were great: - great location, right next to the big main road that goes from the airport straight up to NishaGandhi, but it's still quiet - polite, accommodating staff - beautiful reception and tasteful decor throughout - clean room and complimentary bottle of water and tea/coffee - great hot water supply in the shower (a rarity in India!) - two bars serving alcohol that were open till 11pm - good selection of TV/movie channels - added bonus of a rooftop pool, although we did not get to use it Aspects to improve: - awful smell coming from the drain in the bedroom bathroom - the basement bar had a horrible smell and the atmosphere was really shady. My partner and I decided to have a drink at the restaurant on the ground floor instead but that was deserted so felt really strange too - staff in the restaurant spoke little to no English which meant we ended up being given different beers to the ones we had ordered - card machine at check-out wasn't working which complicated the check-out process TIP: our experience of rickshaws in Trivandrum was a nightmare, with drivers either refusing to take us/quoting extortionate amounts/not knowing the location of places we wanted to go to (which were all within a 15 minute drive radius!). We mainly used Uber for our journey which I would recommend using.

Nice Stay at Trivandrun
This is a very nicely located place in Trivandrum, very close to the temple. So if you want to have a morning visit to temple, this is a very good place. Apart from that, the rooms were very comfortable, stuffs were nice. Only one concern, it would have been better if the room service or restaurants serves dishes cooked without coconut oil

Everyone enjoyed the stay. Great food and service. Breakfast and lunch at the Orion was highly commendable, "spoilt for choice". However on the flip side, the bathroom door wouldn't lock and the shower could do with a shower curtain to contain splashing water everywhere.

Service is good, hotel is good but there are too many problems in the room like the wash basin is clogged, AC didnt work properly and had to report more than 2 times to get it fixed etc.And the freshner was more like hospital smelling rather than a pleasant one. I hope they change it and a bit more of attentive service then i am sure the hotel ll be very good.

Very hard beds
Actualy we did sleep over at Residency Tower. The hotels funiture seemed 20 years old and the beds was to hard for ous to stay. The man in charge was very helpfull and wee got all our money refunded. so that was very good.

A very comfortable and friendly place to stay
The Residency Tower is centrally located in Trivandrum. We arranged an airport pick-up through them, which did seem a bit expensive but on the other hand, our very professional and courteous driver was there to meet us, and the pick-up went very smoothly. The hotel also arranged a driver to take us to the Padmanabhapuram Palace the next day and to take us on to our next destination the day after. I believe the rates were reasonable. The driver was also friendly, and the car was very clean. As for the hotel, it too was very clean--both the public areas and our room. We had a "double room king bed" and it was huge--almost like a suite. There was a whole sitting area in addition to the bedroom area. The bed itself was very firm (which we like) and everything about the room was spotless. We ate meals at both hotel restaurants, and the food was uniformly good. (Neighborhood restaurants, by comparison, seemed a bit sketchy, though we did have lunch at one of them and it was decent and quite inexpensive.) But the very best thing about the Residency Tower was the staff. They were as warm and friendly and helpful as can be imagined. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Good Service
A very centrally located hotel with a good breakfast spread.Rooms were clean and well maintained.Service can improve a little.Swimming pool cleanliness was a point noticed during the trip. Otherwise a very nice hotel that is worth the cost.

Good rooms, but not much else happening
The room and the service were good. The location is a bit odd, but, not too bad. The sheets used on the bed were old and terribly uncomfortable. The Swimming pool on the rooftop did not look very inviting and the Gym is just an extremely small room with a few exercise machines thrown in. Compared to other similar hotels in the area, the food is much more expensive. Not worth the price charged for a room

The Residency Tower in Trivandrum
My family and I stayed at the The Residency Tower for numerous nights. I do not recommend this hotel for the following reasons: 1. The AC was not functioning properly in either the initial hotel room or the replacement hotel room we were checked into (Hotel Management did not know what the problem was or seem to really care). 2. The Hotel Staff billed the floor we stayed on as non-smoking, it was clear from the smell that people were smoking in the room(s) near our room. When questioned, Hotel Staff acknowledged they do not enforce the non-smoking rules. 3. The wood floor in our room had nail heads sticking up all over the place. Hotel Staff did fix that problem promptly. 4. The pool water was green not blue. 5. The Front Desk had significant problems with handling the checkout process given that we booked with Hotels.com. 6. The Dhaba restaurant on the 7th floor is mediocre. 7. The Hotel Staff's English is not very good. 8. The Hotel Staff is not helpful in terms of providing information on sightseeing.

I booked a double room for single use,but on arrival I was given a twin room with no natural light.The beds are not very comfortable.The quality of food in the ground floor restaurant is just average.The staff are pleasant and courteous.
