We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was clean and very conveniently located to the train station. There are no frills at this hotel but the staff is friendly, the room dark and quiet, and it was very clean. Would highly recommend!

A port in a storm when our flight was cancelled. We were received by a very nice young lady at check in. Room was clean and comfortable.

A pleasant stay in Leiden
It’s an Ibis, it is standard comfort but does the job when you are out most of the time. Check in was easy and reception were very pleasant. Room was just about big enough and shower had room to manoeuvre round in. Only issue was the room temperature. Way too hot.

Convenient: 2 minute walk from the train station. Easy access to walking to downtown. Room was OK for the price but there was some mold around the shower floor. Small TV, no fridge or microwave. Allowed early check-in for free since room was available.

not a nice stay during major refurbishing
I don't think it's a good idea to keep a hotel open during a major refurbishing. It was a mess in the corridors, and here and there I wondered about fire safety. And the aircon system was not working. (The reception said that it had only just broken down and they were working on it. To me it looked like they were still installing it.)

Good stay. Great location accross railway station and 10 mins to centre. I had a room with a single bed, not the most comfortable, and could be replaced. Bed was quite small. Friendly and helpful staff. Good stay.

Unfriendly staff. Placed in room next to maintenance room. Running water and wheezing sounds from low volume to high volume all night long. Was unable to sleep normally.

Odours, noise & unhelpful staff ruin stay
Our stay at this hotel proved to be quite disappointing. The non-smoking room we booked was filled with the smell of cigarettes and body odour, making it difficult to relax. The staff seemed uninterested in our concerns, leaving us to cope with the smell by keeping the window open. Adding to our frustration, our last morning was ruined by unexpected construction noise starting at 7am, contrary to the 9am posted notices. After reaching out to our booking website, we were at least able to secure a refund for one night. However, the combination of unpleasant odours, noise disruptions, and unresponsive staff leaves us unable to recommend this hotel to others.

We selected this hotel for its proximity to the train station and busses and it well lived up to that plan. We also found the hotel staff to be very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. In terms of what we did not like, the beds were comfortable when all the components stayed aligned but we found they seemed to come apart more than we'd have expected/preferred. Additionally, the room was very small, which we knew in advance, but it was not comfortable to be in such close quarters when we were in the room together and we could not have stayed there much longer.

Nice weekend in Leiden
I returned to Leiden for the weekend to visit a few friends. My single room was comfortable and I paid a very good price. The room was quite compact, the furniture in the room was quite modern and it was an efficient design. I loved the walk in power shower

All around very good option for the price. Close to Leiden Central which is very convenient, wasn't kept awake by traffic at all. Staff was very kind, room was clean, and housekeep takes care of you.

Conveniently located right opposite the main transit hub (trains and buses), with with stores right next door (Aldi, others) that provide you with all basic necessities and then some.. Rooms are very compact but functional. Don't expect any space to even lay out your luggage! For a quick overnight stay, it was a reasonable choice!

Great staff
There were two members of the staff that I really need to commend. Both were at the front desk. One was Egla Paul, who solved a computer problem for me. I could not get WiFi access in my room, so I had to work in the hotel lobby. She brought me water and coffee in the lobby. Sharon Kraag was the other person. She brought me rolls and coffee in the morning while I was working in the lobby. They were both thoughtful and attentive, and I had good conversations with both. This was a very nice hotel, right across from the train station, very convenient in that regard. Also, right around the corner was a food store and easy access numerous shops and sites in central Leiden.

The room was quite small, yet clean and was in a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way that was requested. There were limited ways to be ecological regarding our was. No means to sort waste by, metal, paper or plastic.
