Amazing Hosts
Agnes and John were such helpful hosts that went above and beyond their duties, especially when some of our party were unable to attend due to last minute medical reasons. There was very good communication with speedy replies.

Beautiful location
Lovely property in a stunning location. We had 20 degrees sunshine the whole week so saw Loch Awe in all its splendour. Lovely little shop/cafe 5 minutes walk and a social club/restaurant. They’re not open every day (we were lucky that we had the bank holiday Monday which they remained open for) but in general they close Mondays and Tuesdays and restaurant only serves food Fri-Sun. So make sure you have stocked up as it’s quite a trip to the nearest supermarket!

Family get-away
Lodge was fantastic just what was needed for a couple of days away. Ideal for a bit of fishing on the Loch. My boys loved the hottub. Overall great stay

Beautiful lodge, beautiful location.
The lodge is set in a beautiful location with easy access in to the Loch for swimming and paddleboarding. There is also a small forest area to explore within the park. It's just few mins walk to the village of Dalavich where the cafe/local shop is. The lodge itself was equipped with everything we needed and I would definitely stay there again. The only criticism I can make is that there was lots of dust and a few cobwebs inside. The decking and pergola could be doing with a power wash. That's why I haven't been able to give a full 5 star review. These things could be easily rectified and I would happily return again.

Short stay
Overall pretty good, hot tub was fantastic and clean. Lighting was inadiquate outside on overall cleanliness could of been better. We ran out if toilet roll, only one roll per toilet. Over then the negatives, great place to stay, very quite and relaxing. Situated in a fantastic setting.

Lodge break
Had a great chill out time at the lodge. Hot tub was great addition and so near to the loch for water sports. Community centre just a short walk away has a bar and restaurant, pool tables and ping pong, and staff very friendly also amazing views over the loch Cafe and shop also near and cafe do amazing pizza but remember to book a table.

Wish I could stay a little bit longer.
I wish I could only stay for longer. It was amazing. Good size lodge with everything you need, literally just bring food. Perfect for children, we had a 3 year old with us and be enjoy it as much, plenty of space for him to play and ride his little bike. Host is very friendly and very easy to get in touch with. Hoenstly everything you need to just forget everything and have a well deserved break.

Another great weekend
This is a lovely lodge in a spectacular area. Second visit .The lodge was clean and perfectly equipped. The hot tub was great and your a short walk to the loch. Dalavich is a lovely spot with with great cafe come pub come shop. The owner is really friendly and the pizzas are fab. Lots of trails if you running/ walking and loch great for paddle boarding. Great stay all round

Lovely relaxing stay
We loved our stay in shuna cabin and enjoyed exploring the surrounding woodland lochs and waterfalls. The hot tub fire pit and stream were a highlight plus the triple deck bunk bed with windows to start gaze were fab thank you for a wonderful escape to Scotland x

Just wish the people before us had kept it a bit cleaner found food wrappers in and around the sofa and some of the cutlery and crockery wernt very clean but over a wonderful place to stay

Hot tub was bliss!
Absolutely loved this place. It was a relaxing break away from everything. The place had everything you needed and i mean everything - all you needed was food! The hot tub was a real draw for us and the shelter over the top was perfect whilst it rained we sat in the hot tub without getting rained on - excellent touch! The loch was stunning and a very short stroll fishing was allowed and part of the reason we chose this place. It's a very remote location on single track roads so don't expect to nip to the shops daily - perfect for us. There are a number of cabins/lodges in this area but it doesn't feel overlooked or crowded. Wifi for the teen was a god send! We definitely want to return.

Great short break
Fantastic communications before and during our rental. Very comfortable cabin, with plenty of kitchen utensils etc. A few very minor problems that were extremely resolved by the owner - we didn't have the code for the safekeeping, resolved immediately. The patio door wouldn't lock due to the very, very hot weather, still felt safe though and it was being repaired. We had a fantastic break in an area that is absolutely beautiful. Big thanks to the owners John and Agnes for everything, hope all is well with them

Beautiful location
The property itself was very clean, if perhaps a little tired decor-wise. However, the location was totally perfect if you’re looking for a very peaceful, relaxing holiday in gorgeous surroundings. The cabin had lots of privacy and lovely outdoor space, just a few minutes’ walk to the loch. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Gorgeous!

Fabulous place
Came with three children under 12. Easy communication with John, and constantly helpful. Less than 2minutes walk from Loch Awe. Beautiful location with very few people about. Fabulous cabin, with fire Pitt outside and lovely hot tub. Cafe / shop 10 mins walk which provided great lunch/ takeaway dinner/ essentials. Highly recommended.

Lovely break away with the family. Secluded and peaceful, would be there now if I could. Amazing property, photos are lovely but once you arrive you realise just how big the property is, and its surroundings aswell as how cosy it actually is. No downfalls at all, good communications with John and Agnes, who agreed to have us during a period of unrest in the world, great to have that time away with family. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is considering booking.

Fabulous cabin and surroundings.
Communication with property manager was excellent before, during and after our stay. John has a great personality and was helpful with questions and recommendations of where to go. The cabin was spotless and cleverly set out to maximise the space in a comfortable way. We only had two days of rain in our two weeks and found the heating in the cabin effective in warming up quickly and easy to control to get the right temperature. The cabin was lovely and cosy - especially with the log fire on. Our party had 4 adults and found that there was plenty of space for us. The on site restaurant run by Sheila and John has stunning views and serves lovely home cooked food. Don’t miss out going here. The boat hire run by Georgia and Tam is a real pleasure to use and again, comes with a friendly service and local knowledge. The community laundrette is pristine. £4 for a wash and then £1 per 15 mins dry. Machines well looked after and very clean. The small village shop and cafe is great for everything you would need for your stay. The location is so idyllic we didn’t venture too far. As you can tell, we loved every moment and loved the cabin and look forward to coming back.

Complete relaxation in a beautiful setting
Fabulous holiday in a part of Scotland we hadn’t been to before. Comfortable, cozy cabin with everything you need provided. Fantastic hot tub to enjoy looking out at lovely gardens and listening to the stream running through it. Altogether a most enjoyable place to stay.

Family Mid-Term Break
The log cabin was exactly as advertised. Irene was more than friendly and helpful however we drove past her house twice when arranging to pick up the keys as her house is no longer pink as per the instructions. After a phone call she kindly directed us to her cottage and we found the cabin no bother at all. Pleasant stay and had everything we needed. Looking forward to planning a summer trip to come back for longer :)

A relaxing break in a cosy cabin.
Everything as described. A little confusing on the check in process as the only reminder I had on the process was back when I booked the cabin a few months ago. Maybe a system to remind people a few days before? The cabin itself was cosy and clean, the log burner easy to use and the hot tub a delight on a cold winter’s night. Would highly recommend.

Lovely location cabin in need of TLC
Lovely location but was disappointed with the cabin! The cabin had everything you needed loved the hot tub and outside fire pit. This was let down by the cabins lack of cleanliness especially in the kitchen! Crockery unclean and the oven door dirty inside and a scum Mark left around the washing up bowl! In the bottom bunk bed there was crumbs or bits of grit that I had to remove for my youngest son to sleep in! The sitting area was not that comfortable either and the cabin had a smell about it! The decking hadn’t been swept etc! Overall we really enjoyed our stay loved the area but the cabin was disappointing

Thank you for your review. The caretaker where you collected the keys is available 7 days a week until 7pm, you should have reported your issues to her and they would have been addressed immediately. I have spoken to the cleaners, inspected the cabin and am happy to say the cleanliness is very good.

Amazing Lodge!
We loved this lodge. It was so clean and comfy and the hottub was just an added bonus we used it alot and it was always warm not need to wait on it heating up. Its soo close to the loch and the swing and firepit were great. We will definitely be back to this lodge. We were in contact with the owner and he was so fast at getting back to any questions i had. It was just a wee place of peace and relaxation with a rustic outdoor feel. 10/10

We really enjoyed our stay at shuna cabin. Property is very clean and well equipped. Cabin sits in a beautiful, private location and was a perfect place to relax. Hot tub is great way to unwind and I liked the way it's ready to use anytime you want. Lot's of great walks to go in the surrounding area which our dog Robbie thoroughly enjoyed. Local people are very nice. A very short walk down to the Lochside and you're presented with a spectacular view of the amazing Loch awe. Would strongly recommend this property for any family or couple looking for a quiet, relaxing break. We didn't use the log burner as weather was pretty warm during our stay, we did however use the outside fire pit a few times which was excellent. Would recommend doing a grocery shop before arriving. Local shop is nice little place but is limited to supplies, tesco will deliver to cabin site which is a bonus. All in all we enjoyed our stay and can't fault property or location at all... Cabin owner is very helpful and always available should you encounter any problems, which is unlikely... Looking forward to our next stay here already.....

the site was amazing all round. the people are lovely and will do anything to help. the log cabin was perfect for our family with small kids. I felt the surroundings helped me relax the kids were safe as can be at a log cabin ..we will be returning for our 3rd time at this site very soon 😁

Not dog friendly enough.
Beautiful place and surroundings but signs everywhere that dogs on leads at all times. Nowhere to let them have a run. One more problem was that the internal doors don't close properly but overall lovely.

Thank you for your comments. Yes there are signs to keep dogs on a lead which is no different from any other site however there are plenty of forest walks around the area with no restrictions. Also the community is dog friendly with dogs being allowed in the local bar and also the cafe.
