Fun Trip Back to the 1960s
This is an old farmhouse in a wildly overgrown garden, kind of charming but a bit of a rough diamond. The locality, recent rain and vegetation made the inside air musty but the house was clean and mould free.
The owner was away but responded quickly to issues of an empty stove gas tank and lack of a fan in one bedroom.
At first we drank the filtered tank water and while we had no bad effects, later chose to buy bottled water due to the condition of the filter and the tank that we saw when refilling the supply.
A snake was seen on the driveway, a worry as the grass around the house had not been mowed recently, The kids loved the hens and collecting eggs.
Tim said it was a work in progress - with the addition of window screens, better fans, a coffee plunger and sorting out the quality of the drinking water, it will be.
