Ok but not again
Lovely location. Peaceful and slept well. The logistics of the loo and hot tub was at opposite end of the property just not feasible when the rules clearly state you can not hang wet clothing and such in the tent. Ordered an extra expecting the local rose’ with chocolates for my partner to enjoy and got flowers (not even a ‘rose’ in the bunch) with chocolates. The communication was an issue prior to stay as hostess said she sent whatsapp messages but we didn’t get any until arrived and she shared her number. The hostess never acknowledged any of our communication during the stay a part from asking for the wifi pswd. Concerned with the lack of hand railing at the steps coming to out of the tent and also the top of the one set of stairways that could cause great injury especially when having to walk uphill and back down in the dark with just a torch to get to the bathroom.

Hidden Gem
Secluded, quiet and relaxing. Couldn’t have asked for more. The accommodation was clean and well equipped and the grounds well kept. The adjacent secret valley is a must. I’m sure we will be back.

Clean and tidy bell tent .expensive for what you get .faulty hot tub was abit disappointing and the walk to the bathroom past other guests was not great. Lovely area for walks

Disappointing and overpriced
We liked the tent and the hot tub but were very disappointed that the bathroom was so far away. Having to trek up a hill in the night during the winter is not fun, especially if like me you have a disability which makes walking difficult. This should have been made much clearer and for these prices was extremely surprising. The day after we arrived storm Eunice was on its way and we realised we wouldn't be able to stay in a tent so we had to cut short our trip. The owner refused to refund the remainder of our stay even though we asked if she had more suitable accommodation and were willing to stay if she could accommodate us elsewhere. Unfortunately the property is not really suitable for winter weather and is very expensive for what is offered.

The disappointment reflected in this review is completely understandable as the guest had to leave due to a national storm emergency, they were completely safe in the lotus belle and welcome to stay but felt they wanted to leave. We supported the guest completely in their decision to leave and in a process so that they could claim all their money back on their insurance. The bathroom is a 2 minute walk from the lotus up a gentle slope which is communicated in our listing. Guests love coming to experience nature in winter with the luxury comfort we provide. It is a unique experience all year round!

Lovely would recommend to a family.
Lovely stay. We stayed 2 nights. Eat out each day at lovely local restaurants. Sadly the jacuzzi was cold the whole time.

Perfect little getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at Lotus Belle! Perfect for a relaxing staycation. The hot tub was definitely the highlight, and really prettily decorated for a romantic evening. Would highly recommend a visit!

We would highly recommend a stay in the Lotus Belle at Applegarth. Vittoria is a lovely host.

Very peaceful stay
A very nice retreat to stay at. The area surrounding the tent is left wild which adds to the effect and help to unwind. Hot tub is lovely and lighting makes a glass of prosecco at night in there perfect! Some confusion about check in times as it is at 5 not from 5, which is not normally the case but Victoria changed her plans around to cater to us being caught in a lot of traffic. Bathroom facilities are very nice, however could do with some ventilation in there. Most importantly, would visit again!

Awesome little tent
Was great. Shame the hot tub wasn’t up to temperature on first night, but it was because the water was changed so I’m glad it was clean. Inside tent was warm even in December, would recommend
