Step into Wild Geese Lodge through the double door and bask in the spacious, light-fill kitchen. Cook up a storm on the induction hob using a medley of farm-fresh ingredients that our team can source for you, before settling around the antique dining table with fiddler chairs.
The living room envelops you in the romance of a wildflowers meadow with its mural, with paintings of woodland creatures adorn the wall. Perched high above the cast-iron woodburning stove is a singular handcrafted staghead, flanked by Scottish gilded crests with motif of the nation's spirit animal, the unicorn.
Lush pink velvet tufted sofa allows for prime seating to admire the mural, while a blue loveseat beneath the window is simply perfect for reading that long-awaited book. One of our favourite items, of course, is a curved velvet chair that encourages lazying about in the grandest way possible. Don't forget to send a calligraphed postcard at our Edwardian writing desk, original to Dunskey Castle.
The first bedroom is a true fairy tale fantasy befitting royals: crown canopy and silk organza drapes cascade over two single beds, surrounding a pair of golden angel wings. The bedroom even features an eighteenth-century gilded lamp, stationed between incredibly downy beds and comforters. Framed print of the classic movie Snow White sit alongside a golden starburst mirror and an antique portrait of Lady Sylvia.
The second bedroom evokes calmness in sea-gray wall colours and sizable antique wooden art on the wall. A golden lilipad artwork above the wool-upholstered bed reflects beams of light into the room, and a steel and mirror "valet" makes sure there is plenty of storage space for your stay. The third bedroom is en-suite with a king size white-washed wooden bed. A gold-painted old chest of drawers sits to one side with a restored antique lamp, and on the other side of the bedroom, a tall crystal goblet lamp adds a touch of glamour.
