Lack of sleep

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Hotel rooms were nice and clean.
Cons: Close the bar at normal time to ensure the other guests can sleep in peace and quiet.
At the week-end late night revellers party into the early hours and disturb the guests,. The revellers incudes stag and hen parties as well as loud foul mouthed drunks who made sure we had no sleep.

Bit Noisey

Posted 22-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
It was a very nice hotel, just a bit noisey at night, as they had a club attached, other than that it was good

Mutton dressed as lamb.

Posted 17-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is certainly a case of mutton dressed as lamb. It's a beautiful building with ample parking and nice scenery but that's where the beauty ends. I checked in, dropped off my case and went to a wedding for the evening. Upon returning I had to park at the far end of the car park because the night club was on, hotel parking by the entrance should be reserved for hotel guests with luggage. I couldn't even drive round the turning circle because there was cans of Fosters strewn all around the car park. Once parked I walked to the entrance to be greeted by two intimidating bouncers who blocked my way till I showed my room key. Once I went to bed the other guests in my corridor were a large group and kept me awake running riot all night, darting to each others rooms, slamming doors and screaming, right up to 4am. In the morning I noticed a sign in the bathroom asking guests to save water by showering instead of using the bath, but there wasn't a shower curtain! When I left my room the corridor back to reception was strewn with random items of rubbish, presumably from the large party room hopping all night. From crisp packets to used milk cartons and tissues. I've had better nights at a services Travelodge, Bredbury was an overwhelming let down.

Been there before.

Posted 22-Jun-2014
Pros: It was quiet and looked quaint.
Cons: Change from over warm duvet bed covers to something cooler. Perform upkeep on the whole place and brighten things up some.
Location: Don't know.
I stayed there before and condition of the rooms was much better than now. Staff forgot my wake-up call. Dinner meal was okay but no different than any diner food anywhere.

On arrival I thought staff were direct and unwelcoming, however this was soon forgotten by the quality of service I recieved.
