“Great Hotel in Stockholm”

We stayed there 3 days during my family vacation in Stockholm. The location of this hotel apartments is great, very close to subway station and a bus stop. There are several restaurants in the walking distance and a grocery store near by. The staff are responsive and helpful. Continental breakfast is also included, a big plus! We are very impressed. Definitely will go back if we revisit Stockholm.

“Excelente option if you travel with family”

We are 4 in our family and the room was spacious and very clean. We had a rental car so we have to pay not to the hotel, for the parking around $16 US a day. If you get late, you will not find parking close to the hotel, but there is more spaces available 100 meters away, just make sure those spaces have the hotel logo. We drove less than 10 minutes to get to downtown Stockholm. They have wired internet and some wireless internet, but that one was not that good. I had a router that I connected to their wired network and my family was able to use it in their ipad, iphones, and notebooks. Laundry is free but you have to buy your detergent. While doing laundry you can enjoy the view from the terrace next to the laundry room. Buffet was excelent, with everything we expected and even more..

“Always stay here when in Stockholm”

Very nice apartment hotel in Solna, very convenient to 2 metro stops and a train station. Kitchen facilities are convenient, and the hotel is walking distance to 2 major grocery stores. Wish the local neighborhood had more in terms of restaurant choices - but metro is convenient way to get into the city for more entertainment. Great for families since the hotel features a laundromat for which there is no additional charge. Great rooftop deck for enjoying beautiful Swedish summer evenings!

Area recommendations
Make sure to visit Gamla Stan - the Old Town when in Stockholm. Quite convenient on the metro from this hotel.

“Overall this was a great place to be.”

Coming out from the city centre the best subway stop is Nackrosen on the Akalla line (blue) from T-Centralen. Its about 300 metres from the Hotel. Although Solna district is outlying from the city centre the public transport system is excellent for reaching all other parts very quickly - especially the subway system (T-bana). Trains run every 10 minutes. As well as the station at Nackrosen there is another at nearby Sundybergs Central (10 minutes walk) and there is also an overground railway station there with modern trains into Stockholm Central every 20 minutes. There is a selection of shops and restaurants close to the hotel including a coop supermarket within 5 minutes walk for all self catering needs. The surrounding area is safe and quiet. Hotel breakfast is the usual continental style and never varies. Its basic in nature and enough to get you kick started, especially with everything you have to buy being more expensive than UK. Bear in mind these are self catering apartments not hotel rooms. We found everything provided was satisfactory for our purposes and a small galley kitchen saved money that would have been spent eating out. Rooms were warm and comfortable.

Area recommendations
There are so many museums and attractions in central Stockholm you would need a non stop week at least to get round them all. The must see bits are the Vasamuseet and Skansen Park then take your pick of the others. Take the No7 tram from Sergels Torg in the city centre for both. Also, Gamla Stan, the old town area is a must for the old streets, cafes, shops etc around the Cathedral and Royal Palace but beware the hike in food and drink prices. Nearby at Slussen is the high level walkway for sights over the harbour and cruise ships. Take the subway to Globen and a trip on the Skyview Gondola for another high level view over the city.
Getting there
The Ryanair experience continues to become more and more of a cattle herding exercise every time we go somewhere. If you have no other alternative, beware the baggage limitations and their strict enforcement and be prepared to stand regimentally in departure lounges for long periods before your aircraft has even arrived at the gate. High pressure turn around time also means the aircraft is likely to be dirty and smelly when you finally get on board. Otherwise the coach transfers to and from Skavsta are reliable and pleasant enough given the distance to be covered.
Getting around
The city's public transport system is excellent, modern, fast and frequent. The T-Ban will get you just about everywhere you need to go in comfort and seemed completely safe as long as you remember you're a tourist. Buy a Stockholm Card even though it might seem expensive and all your journeys and museums trips will be paid for immediately including jumping between trains, trams and buses to get where you're going. The validity time is activated when you first use it.
Must see
Vasamuseet, Skansen Park, Gamla Stan (the old town) and Skyview.
Dining
Try the very good Greek restaurant within 5 minutes walk of the Hotel on Tulegaten. Theres also a Chinese and a Tandoori restaurant nearby. Also - lunch prices in the city can be up to half the price of the same meal ordered in the same restaurant in the evening. So eat early and save money.

“Good budget hotel with fast connection to downtown”

Excellent budget option for visitors to Stockholm because of the vicinity (5-7 minutes walk) to the Subway (13 minutes to downtown). Aprtments are modern and very large and well equipped and appointed, clean and reasonably quiet. Has kitchen and small seating area and Internet. Good value! Note you have to check in at 8 pm or call and make an arrangement with them and they will give you codes to get in and a code to get your key

“Great value, OK location”

I was a little concerned about the location being too far from central Stockholm, but with the Näckrosa T (subway) station a short walk away, it proved to be just fine. The hotel itself was like having our own apartment. And contrary to some reviews, there is someone (very nice) at the reception desk until 8 each day. Everything seemed rather new. Top-floor sauna was a very nice plus!! Simply a great value compared to regular hotels!

“Leisure trip to Stockholm”

Hi Everybody, I recommend this place. The area around the hotel doesn't seem very live, although, I must admit, I didn't check it out. But there is a tube station only 5 minutes walk and also some bus stops. By tube you get to the city center in 10 min. Reception is closed nights and weekends, but you can check in and out anytime, thanks to a very efficient system of assistance via phone (free in the main hall) and lockers, where you will have to look for your room key. Breakfast is ok. Internet in the hall. Rooms are nice, equipped with a small kitchen with microwave, couple of cooking plates, fridge, basin and cutlery. All you need. Enjoy this beautiful city! Best regards

“Apartment living at a great price”

This hotel is perfect for the seasoned traveler who doesn't need constant help from the front desk (since it is only manned during the day) It's also great for those who don't want (or can't afford) every meal out. The room is a generous size, bright, and has a full kitchen. (Even if not mentioned in description...all rooms have kitchens) It offers free internet, inexpensive parking, and is quite close to the underground. The bed is typical Swedish and may seem small to an American but it is the same bed you get in the big city hotels in Stockholm. I used to always stay in Stockholm and pay the big prices but since discovering the Stay At chain I always stay here now, preferbly the Solna Location.I am a single woman, travling alone, but always feel safe here, despite the lack of front desk staff in the evening. (Someone can be reached by phone...just not on the premise)

Traveller's tip
The local thrift shops are a great source for quality items...stop in any Myrorna or Stotsmission and you will find a lovely piece of glass or china or art at an amazing price.
