"I booked a weekend getaway as a surprise for my wife; I've visited this area of Wisconsin a few times but this was my wife's first time in the area. Disclaimer - my idea of a getaway is finding a location and not having any plans - my wife feels you need a location and plans. My wife and I both loved the cabin. It was very easy to find, the check in process was smooth, and the property was everything that I was hoping for. The owner let me know there were kayaks and bikes at the cabin as well. The kayak launch is literally across the street so its a great place to go if you have your own kayaks as well. The area is amazing as well. Even though I did not make plans before we left we were able to join a group hike on the Ice Age Trail on short notice. The town is amazing so were able to enjoy the hospitality of the staff at Dylan's Dairy one night and at Sam's Diner for breakfast. Great weekend away! We will probably be back in the spring or early summer."
