Highly recommend this hotel to travelers and locals. I booked a room for my Parents wedding anniversary and the manager was so easy to deal with. She was accomodating and approachable. The hotel staff even placed a special surprise in the room for my parents to enjoy. The location was in the central area of Saint Petersburg and not far away from metro.

This hotel double charge me for the second night. They don't have anyone that speaks English. I was charge by Expedia and by the hotel or I had to leave if I didn't pay them again! The mixed my registration records with another guess I am assuming because of the language problem. Now is over a week later and I still didn't receive the refund for the double charge.

Good hotel for the price.
Decent hotel near one of the main tourist areas. Winter Palace is a 20 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Old fashioned design and furnishings.
Has the kind of amenities and room and breakfast i would expect at a 3 star hotel in China. Really surprised it was listed as 5 star. Maybe 20 years ago

Most of the staff do not speak english and the rooms are very small. Service is not that great. There are bars outside of the hotel and I saw couple of fights.

St Petersburg for Valentine's Day
Went to St Petersburg for Valentine's Day, glad I chose Grand emerald hotel. Nice location, friendly staff. Only 2 things that was not perfect was the bed was not like other 5star hotels (had better in 3 star hotels) and the functions in restaurant was really loud.

Great Hotel
The only problem was the cigar smoke that hit you every time you walked through the front doors. An air filtration system would take care of that. The staff is terrific and very dedicated.

100% Western comfort in North Capital of Russia
The hotel turned to be a safe and comfortable place to relax after hectic schedule during the day. The stuff is super friendly, without fake smiles, gentle young guys and girls are ready to help you at your first request. Location is great, near crazy Nevsky, but at the same time apart of it. Nice restaurant at the atrium. Breakfast could have more variety of food, but still was good enough to satisfy. Rooms are very cozy, gentle size, good quality of bedding and linen. No smell, no mold, brand new building.

This hotel is well situated. Yes you can walk to the Hermitage...it takes about 20 minutes. Or you can catch the NO 10 and and I think 14 bus from Nevsky Prospekt. Staff were good,friendly and polite. The breakfast was excellent. I didn't try the restaurant as it looked a little expensive for me but there were good cheap restaurants 2 minutes up the street, By all means stay here. I much prefered St.Petersburg and this hotel to my Moscow experience.

Ok in St. Petersburg
For a five star price the hotel was satisfactory. The staff were better trained than in other Russian hotels....generally friendly and helpful. They lack the intuitive 'can do' attitude that one expects from a hotel that sees itself as 5 star. We were not disappointed...just not overly impressed with any elements of our stay.

This is a 3-star hotel masquerading as a 5-star hotel because of its new rooms. The receptionists were not knowledgeable of the hotel's services. Room service was rude and never brought us our order. I've lived in Russia for 12 years and am accustomed to poor service, but this was unexpected from a 5-star Expedia Pick.

Great hotel for the money.
This is a newer and the least expensive 5* hotel in St. Petersburg. Just few blocks from Nevsky Prospect, it is very clean, good service. Food is OK. Standard room is a bit too small for my taste. Some rooms are facing the inside court of the hotel, and could be disturbed by the noise in the restarant downstairs. Some outside rooms on the top floor have a nice terrace, but the view is not exciting.

В связи с ограничениями, связанными с короновирусной инфекцией, мы ввели дополнительные меры безопасности, чтобы гости не пересекались в СПА-центре. При проведении мероприятий в Атриуме, мы обязательно предупреждаем об этом гостей. Мероприятия всегда проходят только до 22:00, не позже. Если для гостей принципиально размещение в тихом номере, мы, по возможности, переселяем в номер с видом на улицу. Будем рады видеть Вас снова в Гранд Отеле Эмеральд!

Everything fine except Sauna reception lady
Stayed here for 2 nights for business trip. Everything was great but when I was using sauna, the sauna reception lady was push me to finish quickly as she wants to go home (yes, she say it exactly). Sauna is working till 11pm, I left 10:55. I don't think she acts properly.

Отличный отель! Идеальная чистота, всё удобно, просторно. Прекрасный по качеству и ассортименту завтрак, с которым не идёт в сравнение ни один завтрак в европейских гостиницах, где все очень однообразно. Нам все очень понравилось. Жили в семейном номере с двумя спальнями.
