Was very disappointed when found long dark hair strands on pillowcase. Grabbed spare pillow out of cupboard and found dirty marks on pillowcase so thought I would get other spare pillow. Looked clean but when I layed down pillow had a dirty smell to it. Shower was good. Bed was comfortable.

It was a clean and tidy motel and rooms were very spacious. Laundry facilities which was a bonus after being out west for a gew days.

Place is ok and handy to food places like pubs etc. But had registered power outage as gave when checked in ,BUT no couple bottles of water as no water for showers etc. Then had cope with it all or someone come over clean leaking fridge so we had to do it.

Friendly staff, on-site restaurant handy
Central location, walking distance to supermarket etc. Staff were welcoming and friendly, which was lovely after a long day on the road. We appreciated the on-site restaurant being open and enjoyed our meal and a glass of wine each, with our dinner.

Part of my trip from Adelaide to Townsville. St George is a beautiful, clean and tidy town Stayed at the Merino motor inn one night but would stay a longer time if I’m ever up that way again

Good location, nice rooms
Walkable to everything, typical motel. Rooms were nice and roomy, parking out front. Bakery 2 blocks towards town makes great pizzas.

Prohibition on reverse parking may conflict with some company policies. WiFi was up but no connection to internet! Did not report during stay so I cannot say that that is a general problem

Great bed & shower. Water quality was great - very soft. Air con only just handled keeping the room cool, but there was a ceiling fan too, so the combined effect was OK. Walking distance to corner shop & centre of town for bakery & pub meals. Undercover parking was an advantage in the summer heat. Didn't use pool, but looked inviting & clean. Microwave in room. Only 2 criticisms - the staff member at reception didn't seem to know much about places to eat for dinner, but that was most likely because the motel had a restaurant. Shower wash in shower ran out mid-shower.

There was women’s underwear in the bathroom, a sticky mess on the floor under it. I had been asked to tell the management if there were problems with the hot water, but it had been fixed. I went out and didn’t get back to have a shower until 11.30 and it didn’t work. It was too late to tell anyone. The bed was very comfortable and clean. There was no information pack, I wasn’t given the password for wifi. When I told the management about the issues, they didn’t seem to concerned and just said, “Oh sorry” and that’s it.

A very comfortable stay.
We had a room for 3 and it was quite spacious, even with all of our luggage and wine and mementos accumulated on our trip. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Motel is on the main street in St George just a short walk to everything. Convenience stores close by and so is the walk along the riverbank. Aircon worked good as it was extremely hot the day we stayed.

fabulous motel great location.
The motel was fabulous. Close to everything and very comfortable. St George was a lovely oasis. We enjoyed the riverside walk, the winery and the evening boat cruise. So worth the stay
