“Route 66 Rail Haven”
Clean, friendly hotel with a great breakfast. Rooms are adequate and comfortable.
“Surprisingly Awesome!”
This was a great stay. Awesome jacuzzi in the bathroom and the guy who got us settled in was super nice and accommodating. When I left the next morning I accidentally left my iPod there, and it was very easy to call and retrieve at my convenience. The hotel has a lot of history, and should be supported as much as possible. Apparently the city tried to have it torn down since it's "out-of-date" but then it was declared a historical building, thus protecting it's significance. A great place to stay, in my opinion. Stayed at a fancy holiday inn on the way home, for twice the price, and half as nice. Wish I would have stayed in Springfield again!
“A recovered classic”
Although this is a great place for Route 66 nostalgia, we were mainly interested in a decent, economical room in Springfield. Convenient to downtown was a plus. The staff was friendly, the room clean. We faced Glenstone, and there was a bit of road noise, but not really a problem. Two comfortable double beds, two sinks - also a small fridge and microwave we didnt use - and a small eating table for a very good price. There were a lot of items available for breakfast. It was handy to park right by the room door.
“A Great Nostalgic Experience”
If the call of the open road is your style this motel is a perfect match. The staff, owners and management are extremely knowledgeable on the history of the motel as well as of Route 66. The building layout makes no attempt to hide the very early adjoining cottage style construction. However once you open the door to your room or suite there is no doubt that you are safely in the 21st century. The room was very clean and bright. The pillow top mattress offer a good night sleep. WiFi, in suite appliances and cable TV help to make a familiar environment for a home on the road. The morning breakfast offerings are good although the seating area is a bit tight. All in all we found our experience to be very enjoyable.
“Not impressed”
Maid did not change toilet paper or facial tissues when low. Had to go to front office for refills (so did at least one other guest). Sheets not changed even after five days.
“Will Recommend to my family”
Me and my boyfriend visited here to see MO STATE. We stayed here and it was very clean and neat. Had a good continental breakfast!! Will be moving close by for school in august, i ill for sure have my parents stay here when they come to visit!
“Route 66”
Old time motel, (single story, park by your door) but completely updated. Very clean, and comfortable. Pillow top quenn bed was very comfortable.
“will be back”
Our Granddaughter is in college in Springfield, MO for the next four years and well will need a nice place to stay.
