“will wait until remodeling finished”
access to beach is very convient
“Oceanview Lofts recommended”
We paid for an 'Ocean view room' and we were upgraded to a 2 story loft (which could have slept 5) with a full kitchen, right on the beach. There were lots of amenities too (swimming pool, tennis courts, workout room, beach volley ball). We would definitely go there again.
“Nothing Special”
I was looking for a hotel that accomodated dogs and was in a decent location. There was plenty of dogs at the hotel and the dog park was right next door. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take the dogs onto the beach and we were kinda limited to where we could take the dogs. Room was a standard two queen bed room, nothing out of the oridnary. The refrigerator and TV were in good shape, but the microwave was really old. They were in the midst of remodeling, but we didn't hear any construction sounds. There was a decent breakfast buffet on the weekend with decent service. There was plenty of restaurants on location and all with excellent food for a decent price for eating on the resort. Pool, spa, and game room were in easy walking distance and well-lit.
“Old Hotel, it was a roof over our head”
Yikes, smelly dirty spider and water bugs, I'm not going to lie, was a little freaked out, but it was a roof over our head for the night we only slept in the room for three hours. I wouldn't want to stay any longer! The man at the desk was really nice and diligent.
“Pleasant Stay”
My stay at this hotel was pleasant. The employees were very helpful and polite, and my needs were taken care of immediately. I would stay here again if the occasion presented itself.
“HOTEL WAS "OK"”
This is an old place dating from the 1950s. Door lock in room #1 was unusable and staff had to move us to room #2. At time of reservation, hotel would not promise a microwave and refrig so we brought a cooler. Upon arrival, hotel [did] have refrig and microwave. Inconvenent to haul our own cooler and wished they would have spared us the haul by promising what they had. Staff very helpful and friendly.
“Okay, not so remodeled deluxe room”
First the room we paid for was supposed to be one of the newly remodeled room. Nothing said new or remodeled about our room. We asked for king bed got two seperate beds. It is very noisy with peole walking by and talking. It sounded as if they were in your room talking. It was okay for a last minute booking but better than some places i have stayed in before.
“I checked out early”
It was one thing after the other with this place. First, the rooms are dated. I reserved an 'updated' king suite, but the only thing updated was the bedspread, carpet, and coffee machine. The bathroom tub had visible mold stains and needed grout; the shower curtain was badly wrinkled, and the fixtures were old-style circa 1970s. The rooms have outside entrance motel style exterior doors, which are aluminum. The ancillary deadbolt lock was improperly fastened to the door. The door needed some weatherstripping as you could see outside light through the door frame. I did not get maid service the first day despite me calling the front desk late in the day and requesting it. There are ice machines on every floor, however 3 of the 4 machines that I tried did not have ice in them. Maid service the second day consisted merely of emptying the trash cans, making the bed (no new sheets) and replacing the bath towels - the floors were not vacuumed and the tub/toilet was not cleaned. I had to ask for more soap. The sugar and creamer packets for in-room coffee were solid - no telling how long they had been sitting in the stock room. The resort advertises free internet in all rooms (although you are charged a $5.95 per day resort fee), however the signal is weak. I could access the internet only about 10% of the time from my room. The resort attracts college kids and families - I barely got any sleep the weekend I was there due to the late night antics of the college crowd.
“dead bug in middle of the floor, outdated and old rooms, door jam was previously jimmed.”
