“Convenient Hotel”

I've stayed at this hotel several times now. The big plus is convenience. It's just off the autobahn, and it is reasonably easily reached from the French motorway too. A good stop for Switzerland without paying Swiss prices, which with the Swiss Franc so strong are getting prohibitive. The rooms are OK - clean and comfortable and with the facilities you need. You get some traffic noise but I've not found that a problem. The Mexican themed restaurant is good - well I like their food anyway! The immediate location is unexciting (on a business / industrial park) but it's only a short drive across the border into Basel itself. I've always found staff to be helpful and efficient. Worth being aware there's a parking charge for cars.

“Business Friendly”

Booked hotel for business trip. Location about 15 minutes from Basel Airport in German side and 20 minute taxi ride from Basel. Decent breakfast.

“Terrible location and no airport shuttle”

Although this was a clean and friendly hotel, the location was terrible, and most importantly, there was no airport shuttle service, this is advertised on the website. Instead, it is an expensive taxi ride to the airport as public transport options were limited.

“Nice, clean and well located hotel”

Clean Hotel, nice attendants and very well located. It is included a ticket for trams during your whole stay, which is more than convenient. Not very affordable for long stays, but for short stays is the most recommendable. They do not have so much bath stuff (shampoo or gel), but replenished every day. Nice people and breakfast is ok.

Area recommendations

As it is very well connected by tram, all city is quite recommendable. The people of this city is AWESOME: they gave me a warm wellcome. It is a safe city and the neighbourhood of this hotel is very quiet. The tram passes EVERY 5 MINS in front of the hotel. The hotel includes a ticket for trams for your entire stay for free, which is quite recommendable. The münster is a must-see, eat rösti and, of course, ride in bike also, as it is an awesome city for it (you can even leave the bike unlocked without worries!!!!! :-O ). Must see the bridges!

“off beaten path”

for business I suppose the hotel is okay, but a little too far from the Basel Airport (expensive cab ride) and there are basically no restaurants in the area within walking distance, so one is almost forced to eat in the hotel's mexican restaurant. Food was okay, but not overly spectacular.

“Good hotel for the Swiss German French Border”

I stayed here on a motorcycling trip and booked through Expedia. It is ideally paced in Germany just over the border from Switzerland. Clean and with a good reasonable restaraunt. Ideal place to stop after a long drive down through Germany before going onto Switzerland.
