“Decor is very tired but the service was absolutely fantastic!”

The personnel service was absolutely brilliant from guiding me in after getting lost, advice, letting me park, advice on where to go for a walk, breakfast when I wanted and then advice on how to get back to where I was working the next day. However, the buidling is fairly old and the internal decor needs some serious updating. The room I stayed in needs some serious repairs and decor updates (especially the bathroom). Saying that, the room was clean and comfortable which was the most important thing after a very long and tiring day. Within the bathroom, the sink/wash basic was far too large for the room. I am only a small lass, but I could imagine a larger person could struggle to use the loo. Because of the service and the ambience of the room, I would stay again.

“Donaster was booked out”

The purpose of my stay was to attend the St Leger horse racing festivalat nearby Doncaster. All accommodation in Doncaster was booked out. The hotel is located in a vwery leafy and attractive area but is quite distant from restaurants and such like. The hotel I think was a lovely old house and as a result the ceilings are high and the rooms of a good size. The breakfast was OK, but only available for half hour which may not be convenient.

Area recommendations

i did not see much of Sheffield, the city centre seemed very quit for a Friday night.
