Great place to stay!
Our large family went here. House was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could ask for. The pool area was warm, and the water was warm. The kids enjoyed every minute of it. The house was extremely quiet, so you could always find a quiet place if needed. Would highly recommend!

Family Getaway
This was a beautiful area to get away in October. The trees surrounding the property were displaying their full fall colors. It is located just minutes from the South Haven Pier and Lake Michigan. The indoor pool was very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook and serve meals. We loved that we could all sit together in the dining room. The patio was very nice to enjoy the evening campfire. The playground set was a nice touch for our little ones.

Family Trip
The house was fantastic! The weather was a little crummy but with the indoor pool and large kitchen, we had plenty of options to stay entertained! The kitchen was the top hangout spot for our big group because it allowed for everyone to be together to talk, play games, enjoy meals, and just hang out. We had no issues with anything at the house! It was very comfortable and accommodating for all 21 of us. We also very much enjoyed Sam, the photographer and would recommend him to anyone staying and needing a photographer. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us!

Great place for family gatherings
It is hard to find a place that will accommodate 20 people. This does fill the bill. It has a nice heated pool built in. They had 2 commercial stoves and 2 commercial refrigerators. They also have a very long table that we could seat everyone. Everything was good. A few things that not expected was that you would need to go through one bedroom to get to some of the bathrooms or would need to go outside and re-enter to avoid going through another bedroom. The other thing that was different is that the beds did not have the linen on them. It was put neatly at the foot of the bed and you would need to make your own beds. I can see the reason for this, as you may not use all of the beds. But this is the first time that I have seen this. The building was very comfortable with the heating. And we enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing week!
We had a group of 16, including 8 kids under the age of 8. The house is amazing for a big group. The weather is typical of Michigan so having an indoor pool was worth it. The kids lived in the pool or outside in the play structure. The train car rooms situation on the one story side was not ideal but we made it work. We hired a vacation chef for the week and the kitchen was great for them. Laundry in the pool area made it super easy to keep fresh clothes around. An amazing week!

Because of the layout of the house,our family did things together. The big kitchen where a specific group prepared meals, thanks to 2 refrigerators, 2 stoves, 2 dishwashers and plenty of dishes and glassware. We also bonded around the fire pit, large dining table, and big pool area.

Good place for a family vacation.
We had a great week in South Haven. The house met our needs and expectations. The weather was ideal. The house is close to many attractions and beaches. We made good use of the large outdoor area, patio and firepit. The children really enjoyed the pool. The house floorplan is quirky, but worked for our three generation family of 19 people. We were able to make nice meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Zero issues, plenty of towels and linens. Tons of space. Friendly and responsive management.

Great place to stay...Loved pool, kitchen, outside property, lots of bedrooms. Only suggestions....for that many beds and bedrooms, need more bathrooms and a hot tub inside or out would really be fabulous. A garbage disposal would be nice. Other than that really awesome!!

The bunk beds were the least desired rooms however , given that our teens were too tall for them. The close proximity to Holland was a plus because it had great shopping and restaurants

Wonderful and relaxing stay!
Stayed with family and children ranging from 4 years old to 60 years old. Property is spacious, clean and well stocked with not only the essentials like plenty of dishes and silverware but lots of games and books as well. The host was very quick with communication and both the check in and check out process were smooth and easy. The pool was so much fun. They provide towels and some pool toys. There are plenty of tvs throughout along with high speed internet access. We will definitely consider this property for future stays!

Great Family Getaway!
The gem of this property is definitely the indoor pool and kitchen area! We absolutely loved the fact that the pool is attached to the main house right outside the kitchen area. This allowed us to have adults supervise the kids but also be able to peek in and out. The kitchen was beautiful with plenty of cooking space, prep space and a long seating area for the whole family to eat together at! The bar/island was also a huge hit for morning coffee. Also, communication with the property owner was above and beyond other renters! Michael was always quick to respond and help with everything we needed. When his maintenance guy was sent over for a small issue, he was very polite and helpful! Couldn't have been more pleased. Thanks so much for the great stay!

Great stay!
We enjoyed a wonderful old fashioned Christmas gathering with ages ranging from infant to senior, and everyone had a wonderful time. It's not easy to find a property that can comfortably accommodate a group this size, and this one allowed for both gathering in one area as well as breaking off to step away from the crowd. The pool was clean and warm - the toughest part was getting the kids out! 😁 Definitely recommend for a large family group!

Fall get away
This property, the house, and the location were all perfect for our needs. Did a long fall color weekend getaway doing the Lake Michigan shoreline. Best family reunion venue!
Our family stayed here during our last reunion. Everyone had a comfortable place to retire to. The pool was a huge hit with kids and grownups alike- especially on rainy days! The kitchen is a joy to cook in- easiest place to feed a family of 30! Double fridges and double ovens and a long dining table. Great space for our door sports like volley ball and bags. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful South Haven experience 🛣
This VRBO is a hidden gem! The pool is the main attraction since spring break in the Midwest is a weather crap shoot. There were 6 families in our group and we had a great time relaxing and hanging out. Michael was easy to get a hold of throughout the entire process. I would recommend the rental to anyone and return! Thanks for a great experience! Bringing our own cornhole set was the only pain point but we got over it 😀

Family getaway
This is a great place for a family getaway! The house is beautiful and the photos depicted the place accurately. With a large group , having 2 stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers was wonderful! The home has a large eating area which we used to play games, visit and share meals. Having an indoor pool provided hours of fun for our entire family. The beds were very comfortable and our family enjoyed our stay!

Perfect for Multiple Families
Our group consisted of 4 families, with a total of 8 adults and 12 children. The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space and everyone had a bed to sleep in. The kitchen was well-stocked and was a main hangout spot. The kids loved the pool and swam several times. We also appreciated the outdoor space and took advantage of the swing set and fire pit. The house’s location is great! It feels very private, but is close to grocery stores, hiking trails, and downtown. This property is well taken care of and perfect for a big group looking to get away!

We had the best time!
Michael was a gracious and accommodating host! We booked our trip in November of 2019, prior to the start of the pandemic. Needless to say, there were uncertainties around our travel and Michael answered all of our questions and concerns that we had. Our trip was August 2021 and we had about 20 family members from under a year to adults. The house was exactly as described. It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of space to spread out without losing track of anyone. Michael quickly addressed any questions or concerns we had when we were at the house, greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had a great stay. Everyone enjoyed using the grills, fire pit and most importantly, the pool! If you need a great space for a large family gathering, I highly recommend booking your next vacation here!

Quaint and Quirky house - with great amenities!
This was a great rental house for our family of 23 – 17 adults, 6 children. We had a wonderful time and found the house to be comfortable and well equipped. We celebrated Christmas while we were there. We even had a photographer come to take family pictures with the quaint house as the backdrop. We also had a Christmas carols and candles around the campfire. The house was a little “quirky” with an unusual sleeping wing. One review mentioned a train car arrangement. That’s true. Also, the unique part is that every room in that wing has a door to the outside. As mentioned by others an additional bathroom/shower or two would be great but the house is what it is. The highlight for our family was the indoor pool! There was usually someone in it at all times – early morning laps for the exercisers and late-night crazy water games for the kids. The pool room was sauna hot so not super comfortable for those not swimming but that was necessary for pool comfort. The kitchen was very well equipped with two huge refrigerators, two dishwashers, two coffee pots – you get the picture. Lots of pots/pans/dishes/silverware etc. We also loved the large island. It was a gathering place with people sitting around it on the stools at all times. A big shout-out for the huge dining table. We used that for eating of course but also for games, puzzles, bingo, artwork, etc etc. Again – always a busy place!! The house does not have a large “living room” for a large group to gather. We missed that from previous rentals but realize the house is what it is. We made it work. The reason I did not give the rating 5 stars is that we had some challenges with the heating – the bedrooms (especially those in the "wing") were very hot. Michael sent over his contractor to give us a tutorial about the heating zones which gave us some short-term solutions but they did not solve the problem. We did appreciate the prompt responses from Michael when we needed help – like when we blew a fuse in the kitchen. We were grateful to get that back on track quickly. We appreciated the added attention to sanitation and care. The Orkin truck was already waiting for us to exit at our check-out time to service the house for the next renters. This was a great house with a convenient location. Some were able to commute for work and some worked remotely from the house. We also spent a day in South Haven in the shops and at the beach. Great family vacation!!

Thank you Jacquelyn. I'm sorry that some rooms continued to be too warm for your comfort. After you left we dug in to it and discovered that heating ducts in the room with the thermostat had been dislodged by the extra insulation we added. Once those were reconnected the thermostat could accurately control heat in all of the rooms. I apologize for the inconvenience. Very glad to hear that we made up for it in other ways and especially appreciate you calling out our sanitation regimine which is intended to make family vacations worry free. This was our third stay in South Haven. It is our favorite place for great family time. An updated farm house , with a lot of charm, great kitchen making meals easy, and wonderful space (inside and out). Big heated pool area and the huge dining room table fits all 24 of us.

Early Christmas celebration
What a wonderful getaway destination. The indoor pole made it over the top. My grand daughter called the house "the mansion", and when they left she told the pool "goodbye - I'll never forget you". She's a character, but the kids had such a good time. The kitchen was so well equipped and the large island was good for casual drinks and snacks, and we were all able to sit for our big dinner at the large dining table. We used the outdoor firepit one night and found places to hike during the day. Close to stores when we needed to make a run. And we had wonderful communication with Michael before and after our trip. Overall, just a fun, memorable experience.

Awesome place. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, silverware, dishes, etc. We were there for Thanksgiving and did a lot of cooking for 20 adults and kids and two 2-year old's so the layout was perfect. Having a table that sat 20 and a big island that was a focal point for a lot of eating, games, talking and just hanging out was great. The only 2 complaints were the bunk beds were terrible to sleep on and the 2nd floor bedrooms and bedrooms on the other end of the house became really hot at night.

We really enjoyed the area. The home was just as described. Having the pool in the building does cause a lot of humidity but I should have anticipated that when looking at the home. My only complaint would be that the showers are very small. I didn't realize this ahead of time. We loved the kitchen and the common areas in the main house. The common area in the pool / bedroom annex was great for our meetings too.

Perfect for large families!
We had the best time at this property! There are several areas in the house you can slip away to for some quiet time but there's also a huge kitchen area you can all gather at. It was nice being able to eat at the dinner table as a family. We also enjoyed having a nice picnic outside. The house was so charming. It was a little dated but I think that's what made it so cute! We weren't able to get the pool room TV to work. I texted the maintenance person and within 3 minutes I received a text back with instructions on how to fix it. They also offered to come fix it if we couldn't get it. Everything was amazing. We are hoping to make this spot an annual getaway.

Great family vacation
We rented this house for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary to have all the kids and grandkids together. It was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed. The dining room could fit all of us at one table which made Mom & Dad happy. The location was perfect. A short drive to either South Haven or Saugutuck. The only thing that was a little awkward was that the rooms were set up railway car style where you'd have to walk through each other's rooms to get to the bathroom. Otherwise there was more than enough space for all of us and we were very comfortable.

Our family meets once a year to spend a few days together. We just loved this place. There was something for everyone. The kids (and the adults too) loved the pool and spent many many hours swimming. The outside area was the perfect area for all 23 of us to meet and visit. There were several lovely beaches within a few miles and we spent a couple of afternoons there. It was hands down one of the best places that we have stayed at yet. Thanks for a great stay.

Weekend family getaway
First I would like to start by saying Michael an amazing host!! I cannot thank him enough for facilitating a great weekend with my family, The first one together since the pandemic! I have been recommending this place to coworkers and friends for family getaways and will hopefully be booking to stay again soon. Michael and his staff were very responsive to our needs, and with COVID still rampant we were pleased with the time taken for sanitation. There were only a few very minor issues. The first refrigerator wasn’t getting cold initially but we eventually figured out how to get it going. The TV in the pool room wasn’t working (which didn’t bother us too much because the kids were too busy in the pool but maybe for future guests I’m sure he has tha fixed by now), and we had to figure out how to set the air conditioning but once we got it going all was well! We love that everything was freshly laundered and that we had all the essential supplies. If we had to suggest something for improvement maybe movable shower heads and additional mirrors for the rooms. However everyone loved being able to eat inside as well as outside at the long table together and we enjoyed making s’mores in the firepit! The kids really loved the pool and my 3 year old especially loved the playground area. I hope to stay again with my family soon!

I requested to use his property due to my dad passing and my mom first mother's day alone. I explained in advance it would be my siblings and our children with her. I received a message when I left calling me a liar and stating I said 15 adults and 2 children which was a lie. If I could post a picture of my reservation I would. It says exactly 15 adults and 11 children, he now want an additional $1000 because he got the number of people wrong. He didn't look over the booking apparently. He said I left wet bedding, broken dishes and a messy house. I cleaned that house once Saturday night, twice Sunday and Monday before we departed. The kids were not allowed to use the dishes because we bought paper plates for everyone, juice pouches and boxes for the kids. Maybe 4 coffee cups were used and glasses for breakfast on Sunday due to drinking orange juice. I cleaned the dishes and put all glassware away myself and washed all but a few pots because it was time to leave the house. I didn't wash the sheets and towels because I payed a cleaning fee. I don't know the next person to come after me so I would expect Michael's cleaning company to clean the towels, sheets, remaining dishes and disinfect and clean the entire house with covid-19 going on. I pulled all trash and set it out in the garbage area as well. The home was nice but could use some updates, I enjoyed the stay up until I received a message from Michael being rude and lying about my reservation. I even added home insurance to cover any accidents because people do make mistakes and nothing was broken for it to be used. I did add water guns to the pool area because we enjoyed playing in the water with them so I thought it was a nice addition to water fun. Book at your own risk of possible being ripped off afterward.

We have been in the vacation rental business for 15 years with multiple properties. We rarely incur any damage, let alone damage that requires withholding some of the deposit. No family has ever done as much damage. We are very clear about no parties which this family ignored. They disturbed my neighbors with loud music and yelling outdoors well after midnight. This family is not welcome to return.

Just what we wanted and needed
Our trip consisted of two families including teens and younger kids. Many of us were working and schooling remotely and able to access the wi-if just fine. The check-in process was flawless and the listing was just as it appeared online. It’s not a newer or updated home but it’s clean and cozy and exactly what we wanted and needed for this stay. Michael made himself available but we didn’t need to reach out because they provided great instructions for how to navigate the home and also solid amenities. We were able to take advantage of the grill and fire pit and the main kitchen had two stoves and refrigerators so that was perfect for catering to our larger crowd. The indoor pool was the star of the show! A great stay. Again, just what we wanted and needed!

This property was everything we could have dreamed of for our Spring Break. The spacious floor plan allowed for family to have their own rooms. There's always a bathroom very close. The pool was thoroughly enjoyed. We loved the outdoor access from the back house rooms. There was also a groundhog that made afternoon visits. I would highly recommend this property.

Excellent property for groups, especially family
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. There was a lot to do for the kids as well as the adults. Sitting at the long kitchen table eating, playing cards and catching up with family was perfect. The property and house has so much charm, as well as the kids being able to jump in the pool. The many bedrooms made it easy for everyone to have their own space to work and/or relax. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely book again!

Amazing house!
We had such a great time at this property for our spring break vacation. There were 4 families and the size was more than enough for the week. The kitchen is perfect for large dinners and packed with all the essentials for cooking. The pool was great for the kids and adults with tons of space to hangout. The owner was great to work with too. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this property!
