The hotel is in a fantastic position for wookey hole ..unfortunately the gas went down so had to transfer the breakfast over to the restaurant in wookey hole . Alot of the options wernt available..The rooms tbh are very basic and a bit tired. Overall a good stsy

The reception staff who greeted us (two young men) were the most friendly, polite and efficient you could ever wish for - a credit to your hotel.

We stayed in the tower room which was very bland in decor could really do with a makeover. Staff were excellent and the food delicious we ate in the restaurant for both evening meals and breakfast The room felt back to front as clothes storage downstairs maybe putting the bedroom downstairs and living area upstairs

We had a great stay here, it was great value for the price, it just needs a little TLC in places. The bed was very hard though, but when we asked for extra pillows to help the staff were very quick to get them to us. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much.

Excellent sized room for the price. Bar and restaurant on site and outdoor benches to enjoy the sun. Beds very comfortable and conveniently situated for the caves with a good pub over the road and pretty easy walk to Wells. Shower was a little hard to get going but we got there in the end!

A nice hotel, quite basic but overall a nice base for visiting Wookey Hole Caves. Food was excellent although choices were limited at dinner, breakfast menu was good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were that there are no mini fridges in the rooms (we needed one for baby milk) and they couldn’t supply one and we had to book a table for dinner which was fine but we were allocated a very late slot and found that there were several empty tables when we went to the restaurant 45mins before our slot but we were seated early with no problems however two of the menu choices were unavailable which wasn’t great with a very limited menu.

I cannot fault our room/suite, except the creaky floorboards around the bed and the luke warm shower (great shower otherwise). The bed was really comfortable and we slept pretty well and made use of the massive tv in the living area, which was set out very nicely with a comfortable sofa. The general area inside the hotel was very nice, but some of the decor could do with a tidy up (lumps out of the wall where cleaning trolleys had obviously hit many times). The staff were excellent under the pressure of the Easter guests, but copped well. Food was good, although a little more choice would been good. We have stayed many times over the years and will be back many times in the future.

Hotel room had a few wonky things, but was spacious and clean. Staff were absolutely lovely, particularly the reception staff. Food was scrummy and breakfast choice was plentiful. However dinner service was very slow, they could definitely use a few more staff at dinner.

As always the staff were very attentive and friendly. There was a slight hitch with the allocation of our room. This was solved quickly. Unfortunately our room was quite cold.

Our stay was for 3 nights. On the second day we were back at the hotel just after 3.00pm. The room had not been serviced. The cleaners knocked on the door soon afterwards but obviously we didn't want to be disturbed. The next day, we arrived back before 3 and could see the cleaner was in our room so we sat in reception and waited for her to finish. We couldn't believe it when we went to the room - nothing had been done; hoovering, bedmaking, cleaning bathroom. The only thing done was topping up the coffee/milk. Even the dirty cups weren't replaced. We did moan to reception but they said the cleaner had indicated she thought someone was in the room!
