The only reason I did not give it 5/5 was the dining facilities. They moved the restaurant to the ball room because of renovation. As it was Ramadan, we opted for pre-dawn supper (sahur) instead of breakfast. The first night, we arrived at 04:00, the food was mostly gone. The second day, we arrived at 03:00, which coincided with World Cup Final, the food was not ready. We needed to wait until 04:00 for the buffet to be completely spread.

The hotel is nice enough. The rooms really are tiny but they are new and clean. The room has a flat screen TV simply because they wouldn't have had the room to put any other kind in the room. There is just enough room to walk around the bed and that is it. That was fine with us. The TV is pretty small though, I don't think that it was even 20 inches. They also had a very limited amount of channels to watch which was a surprise because we have stayed in hotels all over Indonesia including Solo and had more options. I liked that the room did have a small refrigerator in the corner.
I guess you just need to keep in mind that its a 3 star hotel. So its nice enough but its certainly not luxurious. They did skip out on some basic things that did surprise me like having wash clothes or soap for the sink and shower. These aren't deal breakers for me it just would have been nice to not have to use one towel for everything.
The location is wonderful. It is within walking distance of the mall and multiple eating places. It is also close to the Pasar Klewer. There are multiple becok drivers just outside the hotel and they are cheap so if you prefer to not walk just get into one of them. There is a great Italian Restaurant, O Solo Mio just on the corner that I would recommend if you want a really close place to go to outside of the hotel.
I've stayed 2 times at Aziza Hotel and had mixed experience. Booked both occasions through Expedia. The first one was flawless. Aziza was aware of my booking, checked-in at 4 am in the morning without much fuss.
On the second booking, the hotel staff claimed they did not receive any notification from Expedia. I shared my booking confirmation email and then they allowed me to stay.
The hotel is still new, so the overall cleanliness is good.The staffs are warm, friendly and helpful - as you can expect from Indonesian local culture. The room is not that large, but not really small either. I was with family (2 kids, 3 adults) and we were fine. Actually we only came to hotel to clean ourselves, and took some rest. The remaining of the time, we were out there exploring and visiting places.
