Was super bummed the pool wasn’t open. Nothing on the website showed that it was closed. My kids were really disappointed when we checked in and they told us. Staff did a good job trying to find us a community pool but that’s not the same.

This is my 3rd review. We did not stay because Expedia said swimming pool and hot tub but they have been out of service for a long time. Expedia charged me $120 and then the hotel charged me $100 and then told me that I have to contact Expedia for a refund. We did not stay there nor did we ever make it to the room. We went elsewhere. I still have not been contacted back by Expedia like I said as told by them.

Our stay & the property were excellent. Only negative was that there was a group in the foyer, which has a tall ceiling & is open to the 2nd floor, & their noise that went on well into quiet hours echoed upstairs. It was quite loud & annoying. Everything about the hotel/staff was great! We’ll stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in January 2024. The heating unit just below the window either was not working properly or was not equipped for Alaska cold (double digits below zero then). It was blowing cold air out of one side and only mildly warm air out the other. We told the front desk about this and the person working just asked if we were using the heater correctly (we were). It was not until I responded to a customer survey after departure that anyone offered to have maintenance check it out. The bed was made with a sheet and light bedspread. It was not until we spent one cold night in the room that I learned from another guest that there was a blanket in a drawer beneath the microwave. The second evening, I asked the front desk if any extra blankets were available; she had one. This was all we needed, but having more than one extra blanket for winter guests seems important. Notably, some of the information on the hotel website is misleading. Specifically, there is no 24-hour front desk support, which the website as of today (January 31, 2024) says is available. The hotel "closes" at 11pm. There is a form on the front desk that states the hotel is a "limited-service" property and front desk, maintenance, security, and housekeeping may not be available. In short, you're on your own. This is what I might expect at a private rental, but not a hotel. That said, the property was clean and convenient, just not what I needed for a winter business trip.

The lovely Aspen hotel soldotna.
The aspen hotel soldotna is everything i want in a small town hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. The facilities are clean a cozy the rooms are comfortable and and smartly layed out. It would be nice if all the amenities where operational, the pool and hottub where not available. But its not the end of the world. The Aspen hotel soldotna is lovely and centrally located.

If you’re concerned about amenities call first
Hotel was fine but when reserving it said there was a pool. Their pool they said has been closed for a year. The particular room we were in had a fridge that ran and it was pretty loud at times.

Go hotel aspen Soldotna.
I had a great time at your hotel. I will absolutely pick aspen Soldotna for my next stay. I also like to stay at the hotel across from the kenai spur highway from the aspen kenai when I choose to stay in kenai, verses Soldotna. Nevertheless, this trip was purely meant for a rest and relaxation from Anchorage so therefore next time I come down from Anchorage for an r&r trip I will try to afford a whole week, as opposed to 3 nights, and I will surely choose aspen Soldotna as my number one selection since it gets me some distance from landing in kenai from Anchorage and hence allows me for a more satisfactory r&r trip from my constant day labor experiences that I am currently experiencing here in the wonderful and beautiful city of Anchorage Alaska. I am currently getting used to labor and supervisory experiences and I absolutely look forward to an upcoming/rewarding career with the Alaska Army National Guard. Thanks aspen hotel Soldotna. Good luck with your pool upgrade and hang in there since I have reason to believe that your hotel will soon experience more bookings on a nightly basis, even during the slower winter season. The hotel was fairly clean and in a good location for what we needed. The front staff lady was cordial but not helpful on food choices but other than that it was a place to stay. The tub would stop up when you took a shower with was gross but it was what it was..

Great spot to stay. Sockeye fishing on the boardwalk behind the building is world class. Our stay was during very warm weather on of our rooms Airconditioner did not work. The manager gave us another room only because we used Expedia and she could not discount us. The were sold out so some other poor sap got the hot room but with a discount.

Great hotel. Very clean and roomy with great A/C. Staff was friendly. Pool was closed for renovation so did not get to use that. Only downside was they were re-paving the parking lot when we were there so parking was a little tricky. Would recommend this hotel.

Room was nice, clean and quiet. My only disappointments were the pool and spa was being renovated and so no access, and although there was an area for complimentary breakfast, none was provided. Especially since travel in Alaska is so expensive, it would be nice to have a free breakfast. In spite of that, the staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay!
