Hi April, I hope you had a good stay in the village and managed to make use of the extra car parking space I arranged for you, and the book of local walks that I left for you. Thanks for your comments about the cottage which we will take on board. Your booking was for 2 people but I did leave enough towels for 4. There's usually extra towels in the bottom drawer in the kingsize bedroom but always happy to drop more in if requested. There is a freezer but it's located in the outhouse - I'll make sure this is clearer in the instructions! There is a small shelving unit in the bathroom for toiletries located just by the bathroom door as well as a towel rail and a holder for shampoo/soap in the shower. We have found that if we put hooks on the back of the doors we end up with items accidentally left behind. Having run the cottage for 7 years we've lost count of how many times we had to post dressing gowns etc back to guests so don't have the hooks anymore! Sorry if you had problems with doors closing properly - the doors are all handmade oak doors and in high humidity can sometimes swell. We do check them regularly and adjust them when needed. We are upgrading the living room settee soon but have always found the current 3 seater settee and armchair to be comfortable for 4 guests.
