Disappointing
Afraid this wasn't the best. The location was wonderful but that's about it. I'm not sure where the upgrades were but they weren't in my room which was in need of a refresh and even though there was aircon was very warm. Also DO NOT take up their offer of an airport transfer. EU55 when if you just get a local cab it'll be EU15. I felt totally ripped off.

Dear guest, On behalf of the hotel we are sorry that you obviously did not enjoy your stay with us. We are concerned though wiht your thoughts; regarding the renovations-upgrades-all rooms features new oversized beds, new door locks the bar area is completely redesigned, there is a new restaurant, new rooms are being added, the lobby is remodeled!! Did you not notice? As for the a/c "being warm" why didn;t you let us know so that we reset it for you if it was not functioning correctly? The hotel staff is here to help all our guests have a great and relaxing holiday experience!!Lastly regarding the transfer, I am sorry but I don't accept theaccusation on behalf of the hotel. You were offered the option wiht the relevant cost and you accepted. The cost of the service is that upon arrival you have a driver waiting for you (you avoid waiting in line at the taxi station) to take you comfortably to your destination. If after using the comfort of the offered service you are unhappy wiht the cost we are verry sorry BUT special services do have a cost.Thank you for staying with us.

The hotel was fine,close to a couple of beaches and you could get a bus into Skiathos town for €1.6. Or a river taxi for €4. Never a problem getting a sunbed and the pool was good. Staff were helpful and the breakfast had plenty of choices. The only down was that the towels were not changed enough.

Lovely quiet location stunning views across the bay.easy access to beach a boat taxi into main town .local bus only a few minutes walks as was the local shop. A couple of good restaurants in walking distance plus beach cafe .

Good but rather tired in places.
Hotel in good position for bus & water taxi & beaches however rather tired, particularly the bathrooms (we experienced 2 during our stay - had to move rooms as shower fell off wall). Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast good, plenty of choice & varied each day.

Dear Helen, Thank you for visiting our hotel. The room change was not because the shower fell off but rather a sudden water pipe problem which was sorted; you were moved for your own comfort. The hotel common areas have been renovated, new flat screen tv's are in place throughout the hotel, and many other changes have been made. Three weeks walking on skiathos
Total pleasure, no mishaps injuries or mis-steps. Hotel nice and quiet. Sad to say the beaches becoming daytime clubs with over loud music, which was so loud during the day we could hear it from the hotel.

Basic hotel
The hotel is well located, close to a small beach. The public areas were nicely appointed and the rooms were a good size and kept very clean. However the room was very dated, sparsely decorated with the minimum of mis-matched furniture, including a very small, old tv. The bathroom was equally dated, although the shower, which was above the bath, did work well. We hadn't booked a sea view, but our booking did say mountain view, unfortunately the view from the balcony was an air conditioning unit! The breakfast was the biggest disappointment, although a range of dishes was provided, the quality was poor (reconstituted scrambled egg and orange juice).

Dear guests Thank you for staying with us. In regards to your thoughts we offer a wide range of room classes that one can choose from-as for the room viewing, mountain view refers to non-sea view. In regards to the breakfast thank you for your thoughts but do keep in mind that the hotels 3 stars not 5 stars and we do offer high quality products in large variety.

Greek charm
Had a lovely week at the Kanapitsa Mare. The staff and the location were the best part about it. The views from the hotel are stunning. And the staff were very friendly and extemley helpful, for instance we traveled light so didn't have any beach towels, the receptionist went out of her way to find some we could use for the week. Luckily we booked late and got a good price, you may be a little disappointed if you had payed a fortune, as the hotel is a little tired looking, but hopefully you will see through this and just see the Greek charm!

Good Hotel but let down by a few minor faults
We booked this hotel for the second week of our stay in Skiathos. In particular we wanted a pool area & a gym/spa. On the positive side it's lovely & clean & the breakfast is very good. The staff are friendly the rooms are well equipped although the mattress's are extremely firm. The pool was lovely and surrounded by 26+ wooden sunbeds. On the negative side there are only 12 sunbed cushions & there's a mad scramble for them in the morning. The gym has a treadmill but the belt slips, it also has a cross trainer & bike but the display doesn't work on either. The rowing machine works though but tries to escape around the room....Enough of the moaning. In spite of the complaints we had a great time & would recommend this hotel. It just needs a few tweaks....! Try Johnnys restaurant across the road...Great Mousakka!

Fint og rimelig hotell.
Dette var et fint hotell med god beliggenhet. Veldig behjelpelig i resepsjonen med booking av atv, busstider båttider osv. Helt ok saltvannsbasseng med solsenger. Frokosten var litt ensformig, men holdt for meg. Kan anbefalles.

Kära gäst, vi beklagar att du inte trivdes hos oss, MEN det hade varit mycket mer användbart att informera oss om du hade problem med att AC eller badrummet inte var "rent". Om vi visste att vi skulle ha löst saker omedelbart så att du får en fantastisk semesterupplevelse som alla våra gäster. Angående frukosten är jag ledsen men du saknar förmodligen något i dina anteckningar. Det finns ett överflöd av mat och val för att tillfredsställa alla gäster, långt MER än bara godis. Slutligen, när det gäller sängarna, vi förstår din anteckning men igen om du hade informerat oss skulle vi ha lagt en bäddmadrass. Hotellets personal står till ditt förfogande för att hjälpa och hjälpa alla våra gäster att få en fantastisk semesterupplevelse. Observera att säsongen 2023 kommer att hitta oss med nya utseenden och många förändringar. Vi hoppas att vi ses igen i framtiden. Med vänliga hälsningar

Hotellihuone sijainti ja sisältö vastasi tilausta .See view huone, Hyvät näkymät. Huoneen ilmastointi, sängyn patjat ja tyynyt todella laadukkaita. Oli ilo asua 2 viikkoa ko. huoneessa. Huone ja hotelli iän myötä "kulunut" , mutta mielestäni hinta/laatusuhde oli hyvä. Hotellin aamiaistilat hienolla merinäköalalla ja aamiainen (sisältö ja laatu) ihan OK. Henkilöstö ystävällistä ja halusivat aina tarvittaessa auttaa.

Flott beliggenhet og nydelig utsikt
Vi hadde bestilt rom for 3 netter før ankomst for 2 personer, men møtte opp med 1 ekstra person. P.g.a. hotellets standard og beliggenhet bestemte vi oss for å bestille hele oppholdet - 7 netter ekstra, og fordele oss på 2 rom. Hotellet var svært behjelpelige og fleksible, og vi fikk begge rom til en hyggelig pris. Det kan bemerkes at frokosten var enkel, men allikvel OK. Det var et par hundre meter ned til stranden, med Taverna og solsenger. EN liten ferje ankom gjevnlig i løpet av formiddiag og ettermiddag, og det tok kun 20min inn til Skiathos sentrum. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Straight forwards OK hotel
Altogether OK hotel experience, we were first placed in a room with a broken toilet. As we told the staff about the problem, we were given a new upgraded room. This was although pretty, but not as clean as one would expect. Close range to beach, restaurants. Few people in the pool area. Quiet, rough and uncomfortable beds. Cheap and simple.
