“O-K for a Stay”

The room was sizable, located near many eateries, my only complaint would be -- housekeeping did only the bare minimum to prepare the rooms or to clean on a daily.

“First Red Roof I didn't like.”

There were cigarette burns on the bedding, in a non-smoking room. Plumbing was very slow, apparently old. The desk chair had a hole in the cushion. Access to upstairs rooms is an exterior walkway which didn't work too well in the rain. Too much noise and too much light made for a lousy night for sleeping. Just a little annoyance was the fact there was no coffee maker in the room, you must upgrade to get one.

“Great location but.........”

theoroom was a litlle dusty and there were dried old towels hanging behind the bathroom door whih the maid must have forgot to remove.....not appealing Also, couldn't adjust the heat to right temperature. But the location was great, close to interstate and the Mall. And the hotel cleark tried to charge my credit card again even though it was already paid on my expedia card. I had to tell her that it was already paid.

“Good for the price”

Older hotel but cost was great. So were staff. Close to mall and restaurants. Nothing wrong with the room but no extras. Good hotel if u just need a place to lay your head.

“Amazing and quiet stay!”

This was a magnificent hotel. Tucked away, close to the highway, but you would never know it as it was SOOO wonderfully quiet. Room was super clean and looked new. They even allow pets(dogs & cats), which I will take advantage of next time.

“Nice Hotel”

The room rate was very affordable and the hotel personnel were friendly and helpful.

“Low price”

The room did not have a coffee maker you had to go down to the lobby and they had tiny cups and complementary powdered creamer.

“It was good.”

Person at the front desk was very helpful and curteous. The room was clean and comfortable. Internet access was easy, didn't need any code to get on. Good restaurants close by which I love when I have travelled all day.

“Fine for a night”

Room was acceptable--nothing special. Linens clean but worn. Staff very friendly and helpful. Coffee service bare bones and vending machine didn't work properly. No breakfast. No restaurants within walking distance. Junked car in the parking lot and someone working on another vehicle that appeared to be a multi day job. So, ok for one night but only about a 2 star stay.

Area recommendations

Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour was fun and educational. Enjoyed dinner at Cooper's Seafood. Good food at a reasonable price.
