"I had a fantastic stay. Everything was excellent. The host was very friendly to communicate with. The housekeeper Miguel and his wife (??) we’re lovely. The little white cat was very sweet and everything we could need was at the house. Wish I could stay for longer."

"This was an excellent property with ample rooms and super helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!!"
"The hotel was so clean, I didn’t have my room cleaned as I wasn’t there long and I requested do not disturb but I had fresh towels and toiletries and the rest of the hotel was immaculate. I used the shower next to the luggage room before I left in the late afternoon and that was also modern and very clean.
The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming - helping me with my Spanish ( I only know short phrases ) she was very attentive and I can imagine she would go above and beyond for others.
The pool on the roof was beautiful and again the area was very clean - views are stunning! It was quiet in that area, it was still abit cool to use the pool and it’s not a “sun holiday” hotel - more of a base for travellers but nice for a dip at the end of the day. They close the pool area when it rains due to health and safety and the danger of slipping.
The room was lovely, bathroom like a wet room. TV and fridge but I didn’t use either.
The cafeteria was always very busy which is a good sign with lots of local Spanish there which suggests it’s good - I didn’t use it though so I can’t personally comment.
It’s not a quiet area - and I got woken up by girls singing while setting up tables outside the cafe at about 6am but I wasn’t too bothered, at least they are happy in their work but others might get annoyed. My balcony was facing the launderette with the mountains above.
5 mins walk to bus station. 10 mins walk to centre/ beach. I’d stay again. Female solo traveller who felt safe"
"Highlight of our trip. Incredible location, great staff, amazing breakfast, and facilities. Wonderful sea view room with deck overlooking the beach. Lots of places to walk. Hotel staff made up two twin beds as one larger bed, which worked well. The overall atmosphere was impressive and relaxing. Everyone was so friendly. We would certainly stay again. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Balcon de Europa."

"We only stayed one night, as breaking the journey from Granada to Malaga airport.
It's a lovely hotel. It is a bit of a walk down to the beach from it, as it's up on the outskirts of the town centre. There is parking, but not lots of space.
The room we had was enormous and lots of facilities. The terrace was huge and had stunning views to the sea. Lovely pool area too.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. There is a restaurant attached and it serves fabulous food. There's a happy hour (lasts for 2 hours, from 5pm) for drinks too and you can sit outside in the front.
Breakfast is fantastic, buffet of hot (eggs, bacon, sausage) and cold foods, all the fruit and pastries you can eat, cereals etc.
It's a lovely hotel and I would have liked to stay longer. I'd definitely go back, didn't have chance to use the pool, it was a little cold on the day we arrived (April).

"I stayed here over Easter with my family. Overall, we all had a wonderful holiday, but it didn't get off to the best start. At 2am on our first night, we realised we'd been placed on the side of the hotel where there is a dog that barks constantly. My family got little sleep that night, maybe a couple of hours at 6am when it finally stopped. Now, I had already read reviews from others about this barking dog issue, and so 3 weeks before my arrival, I e-mailed the hotel reception, to request a quiet room, away from the barking dog, but this was disregard it seems. Anyway, the hotel moved us and we were very happy with our new room. Totally avoidable though.
Rooms are bit dated, but this did not bother me in the least, it was clean and comfortable and the cleaners came in each day. There was lots of wardrobe space. We asked reception to borrow an adapter, as there was only one socket in one of the bedrooms, our teens were happy with this as they could then charge their phones at the same time. Very slow WiFi, drops in and out constantly.
Food imp was very good, something for everyone and very tasty. There was always some fresh fish and meat being cooked by the chef at dinner time. The restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive, and will help you get a table during busy times and they will bring your drinks order over to you.
The pool area and beach club are very well maintained, clean, with lots of sunbeds. Leo does a great job of animation.
Would highly recommend! "

"The hotel is in perfect condition, the rooms are big, well furnished (a bit too flashy). Staff is nice. Breakfast OK. The only negative point is the view, which is on the neighbours living in the building on the other side of the street. "
