The outside of the property is rough looking but do not judge the book by its cover. The room was recently remodeled and beautiful. It is small but very comfortable! Within walking distance of a very scenic river walk and the hot door hobo hot springs!

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend. I have never slept well in hotel but slept like a baby here. The beds were so comfortable and we found the decor and everything about our room to be very cozy. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay.

Great place to stay
I really liked being able to check in prior to our stay with the contactless check in. The room was updated and well appointed. The heater worked great and was not one of those loud squeaky ones - it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower was bright and very clean.

They really did a great job and this was honestly one of the best stays I had while moving across country with my family. It’s in a small town and doesn’t offer breakfast or anything super fancy but the space and how nice it was made it a pleasure to stay here and made me recommend it highly to anyone in staying in the area.

The property is being updated and its coming along nicely. This was my first trip to Saratoga so can't say what the property or rooms looked like before, but the rooms are nice now. We stayed in room 3 which comes with 3 queen beds. The beds were comfy and the pillows plush. Rags are provided which is a nice touch. The bathroom door doesn't provide much privacy. But all in all it was a nice room and I would stay again. The contactless entry is nice and not having to deal with a key card is even nicer.

The Sage was a delightful place to stay. It was extremely clean, newly renovated, bed was comfortable, and just a few blocks to downtown. Everything we needed plus the price was great! I highly recommend The Sage!

I have never experienced anything like what I experienced at sand motel. It’s important that people in the service industry be respectful of all patrons, including the disabled. I experienced a medical emergency and got no help from management, only hindrance. They were impossible to contact by the office phone, email, door bell, and personal cell phone. The manager repeatedly woke me up and entered my room in a hostile manor before noon despite multiple attempts to explain my needs as a survivor or traumatic brain injury. She called me lazy for using Expedia and compared her own issues with insomnia as an able bodied person to my own in a demeaning manor. This was not only incredibly hurtful, but created an unsafe environment that led to an extreme flare up of my symptoms. I had to extend my trip by multiple days and eventually had to have my partner come up from Denver to retrieve me and my vehicle because I felt too sick to leave and it felt unsafe to continue to stay at her hotel. This was my first solo trip since my accident over three years ago, I used to be a trail runner and outdoor enthusiast. I was very much looking forward to this and not only did I leave feeling judged and disrespected, but I’ve lost confidence in myself that I can travel independently again. Nature should be accessible to everyone. The manager has also charged my credit card since leaving without my permission, I’ve had to contact Expedia and report the charges for fraud. Don’t stay.

This is a wonderful pet friendly motel! The manager just loved my little dog! She is so friendly and really a fun person — it was a pleasure chatting with her on my way out to take care of various business items. It’s vintage, for sure, and that’s part of the charm. The bathroom was absolutely fabulous with very modern and convenient appointments, Highly recommended!

For us, it was a strategic stop on our motorcycle tour from Rocky’s/Grand Lake towards Yellowstone. Arriving at the property, we were sceptical, as it appeared quite old, next to a petrol station. However, upon entering the room, we were amazed: all newly renovated in 2022/2022, big, clean, comfortable room. Spacious bathroom, super-perfect clean. We were in corner room#4, with three queens, one of them in a separate room area. Really great! Highly recommended.

Property manager was rude and disrespectful - made multiple disparaging comments about people using Expedia. Hotel does not have a front desk or a direct line listed on the internet only an out-of-state answering service. They do not have a voicemail. Property manager was practically unreachable on her private number listed for emergencies. I had a health issue and needed her assistance and was unable to reach her by email, phone, or via multiple calls to the answering service. Property manager also entered my room while I was sleeping on two occasions, once without me answering the door (I woke up to find her standing over me while I was asleep). It was uncomfortable at best, and dangerous at worst. She was unapologetic when approached about numerous issues caused, and even tried to double charge me for a room. Only when I put up a fight and checked out early did I receive a refund. Disheartening experience to say the least. Don’t go here.

The service was great! The updated rooms are clean and nicely done. We left to get dinner and when we got back, parking was a bit of a mess. Perhaps marked parking lines would have helped the haphazard parking by guests. Overall it was a fun stop in Saratoga!

Loved the accommodations. Very rustic, but far better than expected. Check-in was strange. I clearly requested we use my friend’s credit card to pay for the stay. I repeated my request since she had not agreed. Yet the woman who checked me in looked at me very strangely and didn’t respond. I had originally used my credit card to make the reservation and she was planning on using my card regardless of my check-in requests. Sure enough, when my friend tried to use her card to check out in the morning, that same hotel employee said it was already charged to the card on file (my card). The employee was not very friendly and completely disregarded my requests.
