“Ok”

It was ok. But the shuttles start working at 6am. we had to leave the hotel at 5 so we had to take a taxi. At the front desk they did not inform us about the time change that nisght, so we woke up one hour early (it would have not been such a pain if it hadn´t been 4am!). Hotel is nice.

“Hotel Panamby”

Hotel Panamby is extremely hard to find. The exits are not cleary marked. Because I have lived in Sao Paulo before, I was able to find the hotel. For a foreinger, good luck. The room was OK. I thought because of the star ranking, that the room would be nicer. 3 star rating for me.

Area recommendations
Morumbi. Nice hotels, restuarants, shopping, safe. Howver, not close to the international airport.

“Clean, Affordable and convenient location”

Nice hotel, simple but with everything you need. Very good, reasonably priced buffet breakfast. Close to the airport so convenient if in transit.

“Awesome Inexpensive Hotel!”

This was a fabulous hotel for the money. The room was nice, as were the restaurant and pool area. The staff was courteous -- the guy who checked me out even let me check out at 2 instead of 12 because I had a late flight. The only things to know are that the restaurant is expensive and the airport shuttle does not arrive every half hour. I was very pleased with the service and accommodations.

“Paradise in Down town”

Even though this hotel is right on the freeway , when you step inside you forget that. When you walk around the back and see the lush green plants, pool and birds it seem so far away. The Dining services down stairs were amazing and the people did everything to make sure you have everything you need and made sure it was fresh. great all round.

There is a Beautiful retreat centre and Buddhist temple an hour out of Sao Paulo that I highly recommend to everyone!!! it is in the mountains, you can hear the birds, monkeys etc every morning. it is sooo beautiful and relaxing.

“Good if in transit”

This is a nice hotel if you are in transit, needing a place to stay for just a night before departing from GRU. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel grounds are quite nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The downside is that the hotel is right off the freeway, and there is nothing within walking distance. To eat outside the hotel, the best option is the food court at a nearby shopping mall, which is a 10 minute taxi ride each way. The hotel does provide an airport shuttle, but as other reviewers have stated, it is not at convenient intervals. We arrived at the shuttle pick-up area at 11am, and were told the next shuttle would be at 12:30. A shuttle driver from a different nearby hotel took us for a reasonable price.

“In praise of Panamby”

Excellent value for money, great for an overnight stop near the airport. Their free shuttle bus ran on time as stated in their timetable (which I found on the web) and it took about 15 minutes between airport and hotel when traffic was light. Location is just off a motorway in an industrial area, so you wouldn't go there for the scenery, but it has a lovely garden. Dining room/bar is light and casual, and I enjoyed my meal there. The environment was quiet the night I stayed, but another guest told me that it had been noisy the previous night because the hotel is next to a factory which handles bottles. Also there is not much noise insulation between rooms and floors, but again I wasn't disturbed during the night I was there. I was particularly grateful that I was given the key to my room when I arrived in the morning, despite official check-in time being after 2pm. There were a couple of billing errors, but they were easily resolved. One was that I was put down for two breakfasts, probably because two different waiters had asked me for my room number during breakfast. So check your bills carefully.

“Relax near the airport”

This is a nice hotel, presumably designed for business travellers, but nice enough to relax in before catching a flight from Sao Paulo. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport, which is great once you finally figure out where to catch it from at the airport (and only starts at 6am to the airport). I stayed here with a friend for 2 nights and it was nice enough, though not much to see nearby. Apparently it's too dangerous to go to the city of Sao Paulo if you don't speak Portugese (and it was a fair distance away), so we caught a taxi to the local international shopping centre instead. The shops have everything you need - food court, supermarket, clothes, books, internet cafe, and movies. The hotel was well appointed, with secure rooms, nice hot showers, big comfy beds, cable TV, balcony, and a pool. However, the extras were quite expensive - breakfast, mini-bar, and internet (although free wi-fi is included in the room if you have your own laptop). The hotel restaurant also provided lunch and dinner, plus pizza after midnight. The staff were good, some spoke a bit of English, and we were able to communicate what we wanted. All in all, a great stopover hotel.

“Over priced”

The hotel is now bad, but definitively over priced. The big plus was the free airport shuttle which was very punctual.
